I know a lady on another forum who gets night terrors and sleepwalks and she posted about how scared she was because the other night she had one and managed to get her gun out of its locked case and then started pointing it around at things, including her husband, and I just laughed for like twenty minutes because those morons will never understand that they're infinitely more likely to hurt themselves or their families with their guns than anyone else is ever going to do. edit: she's American

There is no good Mexican food in Canada. The best Mexican I had was in some small village in the Yucatan. Cuban food is great.

My friend's rich dad owns a mansion in the Uplands and a decent sized house in Oak Bay that he was planning on downsizing to but is now renting it out because he'd be a fool to sell his mansion right now, prices keep going up. In fact he's now going to buy a presale condo or two as investments. He's very proud that he's "always made a killing on real-estate" and is very confident this is the right thing to do. Who knows, maybe it is. Oh also they're not worried about a bubble because "we'll just sell all the investment properties when it looks like the market is about to crash".

My girlfriend's parents always want to send her money to buy a house but now it's not allowed; people sending money from China have to sign a form saying it won't be used to invest in foreign real estate. Though I don't know how the Chinese government would track what their citizens overseas are doing with the money if it stays in a foreign bank for a while before being used for a down-payment, etc.
