You are very wrong my friend, the power stricture is already changing and no one is starving yet. Not 'for the better', though, but it disproves your idea that change is impossible. If anything, your myopic pessimism is the greatest hurdle for you, personally, improving the situation.

people i know personally have been harassed and targeted by the cops, have been the subjects of smear campaigns, lost their jobs and had to find whatever work they could, because of the beliefs they hold and the things they do every day in service of those beliefs. sorry but we all have our sore spots
