I assume we're all hearing Cosmo's dialogue in a heavy caricatured Russian accent, right?

Well, that's how he's voiced in the Guardians cartoon show.

Cosmo, because despite the depth of their stereotypical accents neither Colossus nor Black Widow is a Good Dog.

Well, that's a bit much. Dmitri may not map cleanly to any Batman villain. Does he fight any aged alcoholic science-mutant assassins?

I kind of want to take the laughing Suicide Squad members and animate them so I can use them in a recut version in the title sequence to "Paranoia Agent."

The fetid cherry on top of that particular turd sundae of an issue is Sam Wilson wanting to apologise to Steve Rogers in case he'd ever aggravated his white person feelings by talking too much about civil rights in his presence.

Slight bit of context: that "racist nutjob" is some sort of Tomi Lahren stand-in who was making the usual talking points of "deport them all" on the previous pages.

Exactly my thoughts. If you look at that panel and get this out of it:

In a vacuum I'd say it was about a dude saying "TO ME, MY BIRD". In the context of this being the same guy who wrote this:

I'd say it's a 50/50 whether it's about bird puns or Captain Falcon apologizing for not being 'one of the good ones'.

I dunno, I think if you're looking at panels that are clearly meant to be jokes and you even think for a second there's some kind of meaning like that behind it then the problem might just be you and not the writing.

Yeah, without context this just comes across to me as "Oh, he's embarrassed that he's acting so goofy" but I don't have the rest of the issue for context.

The "trigger warning" and "you should be an ally" jokes, and those characters I really can't defend though. I get what he's going for, showing leftist ideology going too far, but it comes across as jokes about social justice I see people who think all social justice is just that make.

I also don't think that portraying the right negatively makes it any better, that might as well just be that dril tweet about there being zero difference between good and evil to me.
