So when Macy's dropped Trump's clothing line last year he went on Twitter and asked his followers to boycott them. This year they're laying off 10,000 employees due to poor sales. I actually have a shirt from the Donald Trump Signature Collection and it's made in Indonesia.

Because a bunch of the news groups, including some of the bigger (MSNBC raise your hand), are literally keeping a running tally of every misstep, broken promise and problem that has arisen. And keep updating it, reminding people, and rehashing it. There is some serious hate in the media and its bled into the MSM. They don't like the GOP and hate Trump even more. Which is kinda cool. The office is actually legally obliged to read and respond to your written input - don't let your cynicism cause you to exclude yourself from the process. Steve Bannon, a self-described student of Lenin (), knows that classic Soviet doublethink was in part designed to make people so cynical (LOL nothing matters) about politics/reality that they gave up and just moved on with their lives.

As much of a lefty as I am, kinda getting sick of hearing "Anyone who says they have economic anxiety is just a white racist who doesn't want to admit why they really voted for Trump!" from Dems still upset about the loss. Clinton lost, and while I fully contend she had some things out of her control that caused that loss, there were a lot of things there that were totally in her hands that she and the DNC hosed up on. I'd hope that some reflection on what the Dems and Clinton could have done better would be a thing, but all I'm seeing is a continued shouting of the same bullshit without any introspection on the Dems part. To be honest, that's what worries me slightly more than Trump's bullshit. Get it the gently caress together Dems. Don't mind me, I live in DC and I have to constantly hear friends who work for the DNC or other Democratic groups constantly bemoan how they only lost because of racists and Russia. No other reason.

Clinton's primary and Trump's victory really hosed us here. We should make a conscious effort to make sure economic politics is seen as for everyone, because it is. Everyone benefits from increased wages and access to/enforcement of labor protections. Everyone is harmed by wage theft and at-will/right-to-work legislation. And it's so integral to idpol that they're basically different ends of the same thing. How much does [Decreased call-backs to ethnic names] involves stereotypes regarding 'fit' to class-related cultural-norms derived from socioeconomic correlates? How much does [Increased police brutality against ethnic groups] rely on disproportionate impoverishment yielding disproportionate inability to afford navigation of the legal system and hiring of lawyers? It's all connected. We can't gift Trump control of the framing here. Economics is for everyone.

WTF is "economic anxiety"? Is that the pain I feel in my gut when Trump causes a stock price to drop and 60% of my investments are in US companies, or is it some buzzphrase that millenial organizations are using to make people feel bad about not being lower-middle class?
