Do they still have a "vintage" records section with copies of the invisible touch for $12?

Schremp Howard posted:Do they still have a "vintage" records section with copies of the invisible touch for $12? Yes. It's the weirdest thing. I don't know how they select those 'Vintage Records!' but it seems like they literally take whatever busted copy they can get their hands on, shrink wrap and sticker it, and throw it on the shelves. Bizarre selection. All of them were 20+ dollars too

How the gently caress are you supposed to check a "vintage record" for scratches if they're all sealed up?

I took a chance on this thing. With cheap shipping it's less than a buck a record. https://store.noidearecords.com/collections/new-on-no-idea/products/grab-bag-of-35-7-records Because I need more random stuff....

I've liked a bunch of bands on No Idea before, so I'm in. I did a similar thing with Deep Elm years back with CDs and while nothing was truly awesome, I don't remember it being a bad grab pack either.

There will a third repress with even more messed up cover art of Carpenter Brut's Trilogy. So if you've missed that you should probably follow Carpenter Brut or Neuropa Records on Facebook or something.

Serious question here, and I swear I'm not trying to be a dick. Do you video game soundtrack guys, like, actually put those records on and listen to them? I can understand collecting them for the artwork, packaging, etc. but I can't imagine ever wanting to sit down and listen to NES music. that said I have a loving spooky sound effects record I listen to around Halloween, so who am I to judge.

The only bleepy-bloop ones I've purchased have been these Castlevania ones and that's for the art (because, apart from their gimmicks, I really like what Mondo does art-wise). When SotN comes out, I'll absolutely listen to it because it's one of my favorite soundtracks (game or otherwise), and it isn't bleepy-bloop poo poo, it's fully orchestral. That being said, I did listen to the first Castlevania once just to do it and realized how dumb it is listening to bleepy-bloop poo poo on a stereo like that. I can't speak for the rest of these white devils.

I have on vinyl the soundtrack to Lagrange Point, a Famicom game never released outside Japan. I listen to it, because it's good music. I also have on vinyl, a 1980 Pac-Man picture disc. I listen to it because I hate myself and I also hate everyone and everything.
