There were 2 very good Donkey Kong games on the Wii U and exactly 0 Metroid games. Time to put the DK back in the Disney Vault for a bit Needs me some new skool Metroid 2.5D or a new Retro designed Prime entry

It'll never happen, because they're a Microsoft signed dev, but I would kill for a Moon Studios designed Metroid game. Ori and the Blind Forest is like a love letter to Metroidvania's.

I love Tropical Freeze but I wouldn't want another DK at the moment. Another Metroid Prime is also not too thrilling. I trust Retro with whatever they want to do next.

I want the new Mario to have Donkey Kong as the opponents. I also want it to work both ways, a la WC2 so that you can play DK and work back to overcome Mario.

Bizarrely, each Prime game is worse than the previous one. The main problem with Corruption was the dialogue and story elements (there's even one bit where other solders help you fight by placing C4 charges or something). You don't have to be a massive purist to realise that these are completely unnecessary in a Metroid game and detract from the experience.
