UNCLE HAIER SUNDAY PAGE SNIPE SPECIAL - THIS PAGE IS 22(4) = 88 = SUPER LUCKY PAGE IN THE CHINA THREAD My Evil Laowai Deed of the Day: A guy was getting on a rented bike in front of me and his freshly-opened pack of cigarettes fell out of his pocket. He didn't notice, and he began riding away at a snail's pace. I could have easily picked them up and handed them to him, or kept them (I don't smoke), but I decided to do the Chinese thing and do nothing. I am sure some street sweeper was stoked when he found them. I was out riding my sk8brd in the blazing-rear end sun and some girl that I know that likes riding bikes messaged me. I invited her to meet up with me. She said she had never met or spoken to a foreigner face to face before, and this seemed really scary. I told her to bring her brown self down to city and meet me. She asked if she could bring a friend, and I said yes, so she told me to meet them at a Metro station. As usual from meeting people on Tantan, she gave me the wrong age. Tantan apparently sets people's age at 28 when you make an account, and she didn't realize this. I was happy to meet a cute girl more near my age for once, but she's 24 and her hillbilly parents have been pressuring her to get married from age 20 (despite paying for her university education and her getting a job, they wanted babies right after her graduation and are unhappy with her working far away). She said she was from a small town in Hunan. She likes being outside whenever she gets a chance, and this girl was as brown as any farmer in the summer would be. We saw an exhibit about old farm tools used by nongmin, and she began pointing out all this rickety wood stuff that she also has at home. She wore sky-blue sweatpants and got a huge sweat line from her crotch up through her butt crack to the waist, and she was extremely embarrassed about it then entire time. They saw a little sports shop in the park that rented badminton stuff and they wanted to play with me. We went up together and they asked what the price was to rent. The guy stared at me the entire time and said he doesn't rent badminton equipment, even though he did. They shrugged their shoulders and I said "It's because of me," and everyone refused to agree that was the point. Somebody lost face somewhere in that exchange. At one point while we were walking, two kids ran full speed into the girl's friend, causing her phone to go flying and crash into the ground. The kids acted like nothing even happened and ran off. I stopped and looked at the parents and said "What is wrong with these parents? They should control their lovely kids." The girls were embarrassed, and the one picked her phone up and made sure the screen wasn't shattered. "It's no problem, look, it's not broken." The parents stood there silent, not doing anything, not saying anything. I don't know who lost face, but those little shits just kept on running. Her friend was nice, and we talked more than the girl I matched with. It was a pleasant day, and they left a little early because they both lived far away, so I was able to continue riding alone at the faster speed I prefer. I rode about 15km, dodging all of the Sunday bike renters swerving all over the place. Also, speaking of not helping people who fall down or get hurt in public, I was sitting on a bench before going home and watching this woman and her teenaged sons were together passing a rented bike between them. This woman was screaming while trying to ride in high heels, when the bike suddenly went sideways and she flew off Superman-style onto the ground. She was laying there and the kids (like 14 and 17) just picked up the bike and ignored her while she scrambled to her feet alone. Glad to see filial piety is only in style when it's time for the parents to retire when the oldest kid has a baby.

Actually, today I went with a friend to a gaming shop (cards and poo poo) and the worker there was super awkward. I even chatted with him a bit in Chinese and he still loomed over us for 20 minutes like an old horror film.

They all had really good English and were graduates of a nearby international school, so the class was more about how to write essays and do research and junk than anything else. Early on I gave them an assignment to write a paper about why they wanted to go to school abroad, and this one kid who probably had the best English in the class wrote his about how he wanted to go to college in America because American girls had bigger boobs than Chinese girls. Well, did he sell it? What grade did you give him?

I'm the guy literally crawling inside a hole to save face. People wonder why baby formula ends up being poison and buildings collapse, and trains derail, and it's all this stupid face culture. Despite corners being cut and projects being compromised, It's not a problem until it fails spectacularly, and usually the fall guy is some temporary employee who conveniently disappears.

Does anyone want to go halfsies with me on starting a bakery? That is a wildly successful business idea for China. Truly a good idea, it cannot fail. I was thinking possibly a vapekery, which is a vape-slash-bakery where you can buy vapes that taste just like the baked goods you are buying. I say this because I have been into three vape stores here, and the average price of liquid goes for around $30-40 USD per 30mL. The ingredients cost about $0.50 per 4 liters of that poo poo. I got that BBW friend into vaping since she was a casual stress smoker, and I was showing her how she could just buy the ingredients off Taobao and make it at home and save thousands of RMB from these Chinese hipsters using daddy's money to open a "vape lounge" that always seems to be empty.

I wouldn't trust a man who let a fresh pack of cigarettes fall out of pure spite. What if those were baked goods? You're letting china infect your soul Either that or you're China's number one defense against lung cancer, which is a loving futile fight I'm out

Andrast posted:People remove the skin from cucumbers? Pesticides and other not-healthy-to-ingests tend to be concentrated most in the skins of fruits and vegetables, so wherever you are in the world it is usually a good idea to remove them. This doesn't apply too much too thick-skinned things like oranges, bananas, avocados, etc. Also, don't eat leafy green vegetables countries where people can dump whatever they want on their fields. Those are the most pesticide, heavy metal, and toxic water-absorbing things you can eat. You might as well just switch to taking gelatin capsules with lead and arsenic and Round Up in them.
