Wow. Aside from Swarm Pokemon, I have caught ALL THE THINGS in Apricorn Balls! I have 13 frigging boxes full of them sitting in Bank. Once it updates, I can open the floodgates! I will compile a list once I figure out the best way to do that.

I keep telling everyone that Nintendo's Pokemon Bank release date is as dubious as when they set a date for Miitomo last year. They advertised "February 2016"; the app was released March 17th, 2016. A day or two before March hit, they just took down the "February 2016" part on their site altogether and said no word about anything up to the night of. So have at it. Enjoy waiting on Nintendo's safe month-only, no-date release date.

So I got the demo for sun/moon and it looks like a Dreamcast game on my 3ds and the demo showcased a few QOL upgrades that made me happy. I am def in on sun/moon so I can catch my own tapa coca cola with the rest of you goons. Anyone have a good source for beginners guides for using the bank/transferring pokes so I only have to listen to one 11 y.o who forgets more about Pokémon than I will ever know?

Bank is not out yet for Sun/Moon, supposed to be this month but we'll see. If you want to trade, just check the GTS for the Pokemon you want, and trade one you have. Or put one you have up for one you want. Easy, never have to talk to a child. Or play Wonder Trade Roulette, where you put a Pokemon up and get someone else's Pokemon in return, randomly. Could get a Level 100 Legendary, more likely to get a lovely bird.

My Gumshoos is named Bigly Smalls because that's the first dumb pun name to come to mind. He hasn't tried to lead an idiot-fascist takeover of Alola yet so I think he's free of the Cheeto taint. You could argue that the lack of a National Pokedex is a missing feature. I don't think they've actually promised it, per se, people have just assumed it'll come with the bank update. But it's ridiculous that it's not in there yet. You can catch Pokemon that don't have a pokedex entry!

The fact that they've opted to keep the National Pokedex to Pokemon Bank means that it's not a missing feature, it's the same thing with the Mega stones. They're still in the game, you can hack them in and use them if you wanted to, but they're either keeping them for a future game or for future distributions, but they're not missing by any means, they've been purposefully left out for future release. Niantic are also not lying about not having features, this stuff takes time to implement and they definitely released an unfinished game purposefully to put it in the perfect time slot: the summer of the 20th anniversary. I think the underestimates of their servers have definitely postponed features they wanted to put in, but it's merely a waiting game until it's all done. And they have 100% said that the National Pokedex will be part of the Pokemon Bank update, but whether it's something you'll be able to do in game via the Rotom Dex, or only through Pokemon Bank is something we don't exactly know.
