based on what i know (and was able to google) new zealand is equally terrible to its minorities and natives, and its lgbt rights are about on par with the US's (just added gay marraige this decade, civil unions before that, has left trans rights undefined and in legal limbo with differing opinions in various courts).

it seems like the primary advantage of new zealand is actually that it treats its lower-class white people better than the us and that's not a consideration if you are making the big bux.
