Since you already have a Warhammer, I'd say, get a Riflemen.

As for Order Format Preference, I'd guess, the one without the nested loops?

if [target] is dead and [other target] is untargetable, shoot [third target]

Should save number 2. Goons could probably use it to shut down the Dropship AI the Capellans have if we have to fight then again.

It's not that bad. It's just one of those "why would you make this more complicated?" sorts of things.

Right now Rifleman's pretty much in the lead and only one player has eaten a headshot this turn.

#1, because the ordering means that you will always shoot [target], even if it's dead.

Gotta order those conditionals!

I've long since switched to 16' poles, after a few encounters with traps with a 15' radius
Of course in Battletech you would need a 61 meter pole.

We will deploy an array of 61 meter poles manned by our grid of strategically placed single infantrymen across the surface of the planet to prevent dropship landings. Our defense is impenetrable!

Ikuta Glacier: Tactical Update 8

Makena’s Stormcrow rattled and shook as a half-dozen shells glanced from her armor. The diagnostic diagram on her neurohelmet’s HUD flashed orange in places, but still didn’t show the angry red of a major armor breach. It’d just be a matter of time, if another barrage like that hit her. Her dark lips spread into an angry grimace at the sheer waste of the design.

“I did not think the Widowmakers had ammunition to throw away like that. It is no wonder the whole Clan has turned bandit, quineg?”

“They do not use many Light Autocannons,” Radivan cut in. Makena’s eyes narrowed maliciously—she and Radivan had come to hate one another long before they’d left their sibko. That Makena had earned an early promotion and Radivan had not had always been a point of contention between them—and something Makina had chosen to exploit in an effort to get the best performance possible out of her highly competitive sib. “They likely have more shells than they can reasonably expect use. Plus, it is the Widowmakers. It only makes sense that they have found a more efficient way to waste the stores they do have.”

Special Rules
Necrosia Stimulants Once per game, BattleMechs and Elementals may inject themselves with Necrosia stimulants granting them heightened reaction times for three turns. While Necrosia stimulants are active, Mechwarriors gain a -1 bonus to gunnery due to their heightened reaction times but suffer a +1 penalty to piloting tests due to minor visual hallucinations. Elementals in Ironhold Armor gain a -1 bonus to gunnery with no penalties. All other Elementals instead gain a -2 bonus to Anti-Mech attacks with no penalties.
Icy Conditions Ice hexes are in play. At the bottom of the ravine, all ice hexes are treated as though they are elevation -6. It is possible to break through these ice hexes and fall into the liquid water below. If a `Mech does not extract itself from the water in two turns it will be frozen in place and immobilized (or destroyed if completely submerged).
-60 C All `Mechs cool 3 additional points each turn

House Rule
Heavy Vibro Claws deal +1 damage per claw per elemental on leg and swarm attacks rather than the standard ruling.

Primary Objectives
- Achieve 100% humiliation or more (Complete!)

Secondary Objectives
- Push or charge a Widowmaker unit into the ravine (+0%/10%)
- Kill Star Colonel Jolán Vickers (+10%/10%)
- Leave one crippled enemy alive (+0%/5%) (+5% if that unit is an enemy officer)
- Completely destroy a crippled enemy (+0%/10%)
- Defeat 3 `Mechs with Elementals (+10%/10%)
- Drug Free: defeat 5 enemy `Mechs without the aid of Necrosia (+10%/10%)
- Battle High: defeat 5 enemy `Mechs with the aid of Necrosia (+10%/10%)
- Give the Hunchback IIC pilot an honorable death OR capture them honorably (+0%/10%)
- Score twice as many kills than the Glacier (10%/10%)
- - Players 15

E: Who moves first, elementals or mechs? Cause I guessing my Wraith didn't end up embarking on my Nova G.

E2: I'm sorry for my constant whining, I know it's not in good taste, and I'll stop now.

Transform and waaauuuugh out!
Only five combat capable 'mechs left for the Widowmakers, not counting the weaponless Summoner that gave up a while back, and one of those five has been immobilized by the Grand Dragon's super soakers.

There might not be enough of this Widowmaker unit left for Natasha to disband.

Ablative's Night Gyr is going to have to do some fancy maneuvering to keep it's left torso intact, but I thing GoonNova has this thing pretty well sown up. The Crossbow can just sit still and unload ER missiles and MPLs in to the summoner's back on *3s*, and with two sections already open + an existing engine/gyro crit, it's done for.

That Black Lanner is probably the most dangerous thing left on the field, given it still has armor, two good weapons, and a load of speed at it's disposal. Good thing the Grand Dragon can chase it down and SUPER SOAKER it's speedy butt to the ground!

Review: It's better than the official IWM model, but that's not saying much. The King Crab has always looked like a pile of poo poo and PGI's over-industrialized smiley face with eyebrows is no exception. It's got another problem that isn't obvious (since it towers over the IWM model), but the King Crab is also tiny.

The clix game had a good Crab model

Those Super Soakers should have infinite ammo, as they will never run out of Widowmaker tears to fuel them.

Just an FYI: one of these sets of contingency order styles will annoy me just a little bit. See if you can figure out which one I don't like and why.

Shoot [target]
if [target is dead] shoot [other target]
if [other target is dead] shoot [third target]

if [target] is dead and [other target] is untargetable, shoot [third target]
else if [target is dead] and [other target] is targetable shoot [other target]
otherwise shoot [target]

As a programmer, the second one is how I think about giving instructions like these, sorry.

(I am not actually in this game :v:)

I think the kicked Locust IIC has to make a PSR for being kicked, or fall, right?

If you prefer, think of it this way:
If [target is not dead] then Shoot [target]
ELSE If [other target is not dead]] then Shoot [other target]
ELSE If [third target is not dead] then Shoot [third target]

The point is, refer to one and only one target per line of firing instructions. (Well, that and minimize the number of conditionals.)

It is a shame that the Star Colonel was not alive to see his unit collapse like wet tissue paper.

with a bear.

If I take it correctly, the players have already successfully performed their mighty touchdown dance, and now is the phase where they perform a touchdown dance to celebrate the success of the previous dance.

As much as I would have loved to see the horror on Vickers' face as his entire unit gets systematically demolished, it was way, WAY funnier watching him fall off a bridge and freeze to death in icy waters without even having gotten a shot off on Goonstar.

Especially after he told our commander in the Fluff prior to the mission that he should just throw himself in the ravine and save everyone the trouble.

Delicious irony.

THIS is a Trump Avatar!
What should the Timberwolf do? It'll take 4-5 turns (if I'm lucky) to actually cross the ravine: should I stand at the edge and keep shooting long-range shots instead? I guess it might depend on how long the people moving right into that massive cluster of enemies last...
