MAn remember how as a kid you were a console warrior because as a kid you had no income and had to depend on your parents to buy you video games and so when you chose a console you had to loving commit to it and how good you felt when you read that your console of choice had better games and the schadenfreude when you read stuff like say the PS1 only has 32 bits or the Sega Saturn is flopping or the PSP has this thing with lovely proprietary media that shoots out of the thing when ejected or how the xbox was so cumbersome and poo poo Now as a grown person with a job you give no shits because you know Nintendo has hosed up the past two generations but who cares you have enough disposable income to buy any other console too and enjoy Nintendo's poo poo with Sony's poo poo and you're getting the best of all worlds Still I'm sure the Switch will be the best because Mario and it probably won't have lovely hardware like the PS4 or wrong processing like the xbox one

The commercial showed a pro eSports event where they just plop their systems into docks without needing ages of AV setup, and a woman at an airport responding favourably to a rando guy sitting down next to her and showing her a video game system she also owns. I am starting to think this advertisement may not be representative of real lived experience.
