You can't rework what never worked in the first place. Citizens are simply excited that CIG might be taking steps to fix their broken game.

That's pretty much the boat most people are in. It's not easy to yell "go get em tiger!" When most people have a normal job, families and responsibilities. I guess it might be more pressing if you were in for thousands though. Still though, I bet there will be a class action and you'll get like $6.42 ten years from now.

Does the $6.42 count as Squadron 42?

Okay, when can this story come to a close? I liked the first few seasons, but things are starting to get really stale. It's all just become self-referential in-jokes and repeats of storylines that were done at least once every season. They opened up all these interesting, but ultimately unrelated subplots and teased that they would all tie into a cohesive whole, yet we haven't even touched on some of them in ages. It feels like they had a plan for the first two seasons and then ran out of steam. We are just watching them make it up as they go along and writing checks that can't be cashed. And now we learn just a few weeks ago they are planning to move the entire thing to a different setting! Are they doing this just to pad things out and draw us along with no actual end game. /rant

Heh, my mom (a fairly naive/innocent elderly lady) literally said it sounded like ponzi scheme in a conversation the other day, and I wasn't even trying to make it sound bad but by the time I made it to $500 spesships her bullshit detector couldn't handle any more, so the conversation was pretty short.

He also called it a ponzi scheme. He spent his entire life delivering dry cleaning, I told him if he got the game he could probably deliver space dry cleaning, he said he'd just want to fly space ships and shoot bad guys and wondered why someone would want to work a job in a game.

He doesn't understand fidelity.
