Saladins Vigil does 50 a bolt within its range so it's entirely possible to not kill a dude even if 4 bolts hit if you're far away or he's max armor Titan/ramlock. The whole thing with saladin's is that you're getting the fastest possible charge rate for a 4 bolt kill so unless you're using it under prime conditions you're going to see edge case survival.

Prime conditions tragically within range. I always check armor situations after and it's not max or rams. That's what gets me so salty, this isn't a matter of translation or interpretation, it's basic arithmetic, and when they rush toward me and survive with a damage inflicted that doesn't end in a 0, I get hot. I so seldom use anything else in my Special slot, I know exactly how it performs and when it's my gently caress-up.

Even with no movement on the stats between them, I was looking for any difference in the damage falloff. Because it is steeeeeep. The 50 body damage requires being deep in shotgun range in which case you need to already be hitting them before they reach that sweet spot. Also of some possible concequence, my lobbies today were syphilis. All that said, sidearms in the archetype seem to be tops right now and you are capable of 4 body shot kills so yeah, get one and roll with it. No reason not to, Variks likely wants to give you five in a row, and the better you are with sidearms the more opportunity you will find to nab those 50pt hits without trading.

They work on named bosses, like at the end of strikes(except omnigul and the flayers), and every crucible match except for private matches. When you've had 7 beers on a sunday arvo, solo drop into diamond 1 % match making on zone control and still dominate. tlw snipes is like putting on an old t shirt. poo poo just feels right.   That SOTA dude in the last game sent me a message "reported for cheating" because I domed him 6 times in a row on asylum coming through the A door up the stairs to b. Then I no scope punched him when he came through the bottom and tried to shotgun me. I was having a bad sunday. Some casual rape made up for it.
