I wonder if that's why the federal prosecutor was asking for two years in prison, knowing deep inside it wasn't going to matter.

Leave it to Ted Cruz, to make a really bad choice by Obama,, sound like a good one based on Cruz being such a giant knob.

What would Assange be prosecuted for in the US? Just send him to Sweden for his rape trial

We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night, I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.

I don't know why manning and Snowden get lumped in together. One just grabbed whatever classified material they could get their hands on without giving a poo poo about the context and the other targeted a gross violation of rights and gave it to actual journalists (well 2 journalists + greenwald) who curated the release of material.

It'd be a spectacular blow to his ego if on walking out of the embassy all that happens if he leaves (he won't) is getting sent to Sweden for a rape trial without a peep from the US government

Proof is in the pudding, at the moment all I see is a bowl of diarrhea calling itself journalism pudding. If it happens, great. And I hope it does. Not too optimistic though, and even if it does Fox and even further right whack job propaganda outlets will still use the word anyway.

Man, this promise of hard-hitting journalism would be better if the press corps hadn't just spent the past two years opening their mouth wide to suck off Trump every time he made a ridiculous statement.

You can dig up all the scandals you want, nobody's going to give a gently caress so long as every news outlet is more concerned about reporting what Trump just tweeted about because it's an easy way to put eyeballs on screens.
