We don't really know what happened other than that people are kinda shocked at who lost their jobs, and it's possible that it's not actually going to affect the users that much but we'll see. You don't fire your entire core staff unless you're in some kind of massive death-spiral; everything will break, and nobody will be able to fix it. It's much more likely a bunch of people just left or something, which is a thing that happens all the goddam time at any tech company that isn't Google or Facebook.

So the three girls in Akiba Strip are voiced by the same people as the three main characters in Sore ga Seiyuu, and they were credited as the idol group they formed in that show. I wonder if they brought all 3 on just for the purposes of making that joke, or if "Earphones" is actually succeeding as an idol group in Japan. Either way, it's kinda cool.

Jesus usually this thread doesn't move so fast; really goes to show how important Crunchyroll has been lately for anime viewers. Speaking of, Gigguk put out another video and I gotta say I'm really impressed with his commentary; even when he criticizes something I feel like he's doing it from a position of genuine enthusiasm for the medium and really works hard to not put down fans who might enjoy it.
