Also a trans woman originally called Bradley, which isn't relevant to any of the above but even odds the RWM will keep on calling her Bradley.

Also, I think [someone fact-check me here, I'm begging you] she wasn't revealing extremely hush-hush keep this on the down low info that could get people killed by outing spies. If I recall it was also the time Wikileaks was beginning its slide into Assange's partisan madness so he didn't bother vetting or censoring any of the information in them which included a lot of personal info of regular private citizens? Or was that a different Wikileaks "gently caress you"?

There also were a bunch of diplomatic cables in there that turned out to be pretty embarrassing for a number of governments. But yeah, the overall security impacts of the leaks were found to be moderate to low, and no deaths were ever be found to have been caused by them. If there had been any deaths, they would have been certain to be thrown at Manning during her trial.

The Chelsea Manning stuff was not as much of a mass-release "gently caress you" as the later stuff that got strategically leaked to them. Either Wikileaks is completely compromised by his hackery or he is so dumb that he doesn't understand how information has trajectory and that even supplying his outfit with documents has motive behind it.

Die Sexmonster! posted:Just saw on NBC, regarding the protests today, Megyn Kelly said we have to "respect the office." So that's back after exactly 0 days of Republican leadership. That is such an asinine concept. An office is a title, it's something a culture creates to basically delegate authority in some area of society and ensure the perpetuation of the cultural system after the death/resignation/time limit runs out of an individual within the office. The respect afforded to the title is worth only as much as the individual who inhabits it deserves, based on competence and legitimacy, and on at least one of those metrics the Office of President of the United States is now worthless and worth giving no respect.
