Any pics of 8 player Mario kart split screen on the switch screen yet? Does anyone know if this allows ad hoc networking or do you need a hub/dhcp server etc? Well, I assume if you have x switches (and x game copies) you can always I play multiplayer using them...

I don't think there's 8 player split screen. I think you need to ad hoc at least two switches for eight player.

They have built in whozits that can make ad hoc wifi networks. Now a game like Bomberman or Smash will support 8 players on one screen, but eight player split screen would be terrible.

I gotta say lot of people I know want to buy a Switch for the motion controls already and for stuff like 1,2 Switch that "absolutely looks bonkers fun". I'm beginning to think they might be the ones who make it or break it for Nintendo, again.

Ah ok. He said it dropped in two player split screen which I was sure was wrong. The article says it drops if more than two players. Two players is still 60fps. I thought it stayed that way at 4 player too though which was also wrong.

I'm certainly not going to buy 1 2 Switch, but that milking minigame certainly caught the attention of my board game group when I was also watching the Treehouse presentation whilst socialising. So there is certainly a possible demographic who might be interested. I don''t think it's the new Wii Sports, though.

As a side note, I keep wondering what was the hurry of releasing the thing in loving March with barebones feature, no bundle, and a mediocre lineup. Yes PS4 and Bone also had bad lineups at release but they didn't come from the Wii U fiasco and everyone felt Nintendo needed more to convince people this time around. Are they that hungry for cash? iirc 2016 was a terrible year for them financially, are they that much in trouble?
