She never actually refers to is as Nen or anything like that, just as tricks or techniques. I think her and a lot of the audience don't know the technical aspects, they just see it as crazy fighting stuff.

I know almost nothing about Naruto and have been watching the last few weeks, and this guy was definitely a step up. He's probably the only likable Naruto character I've seen.
