So will I end up buying a bunch of NES games for the dozenth time or have they finally made a console that's all "hey friend save your $5, we see you've already bought legend of Zelda, downloading now"? Note: this will determine whether or not I'm buying a switch.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a masterpiece. It's $20 on the Wii U shop.

You need a Wii remote and nunchuk for most Wii games though.

One of my greatest regrets is having never played Skyward Sword.

everyone bitches about skyward sword motion controls (which i liked) but next to nobody says anything about how divorced from that the game is just bad. one of the few objectively bad zeldas imo

In Training
Jun 28, 2008

The controls were definitely the coolest part. I think everything else about the game pissed me off though. The development arc of 3D zeldas from Wind Waker -> Twilight Princess -> Skyward Sword is why Im planning on skipping Breath of the Wild

i liked the motion controls until i realized that enemies would cheat and block you regardless of telegraphing, and then they introduced enemies that hurt you when they blocked lol

The comically small stamina meter is the most baffling part of that game to me.

ppl just took out their frustrations on the motion control gimmick, instead of the game railroading you between boring long cutscenes and fetch quests and filler backtracking and once you finally got to the meat (dungeons) there were 3 types of enemies total + palette swaps with more health
