Vahakyla posted:Today I heard the dumbest thing I've heard in AIT. The DFAC at Fort Meade was right next to the company area and our drill sergeants tended to treat it as theirs for the purpose of private abuse. One morning our most sourpuss drill sergeant was interupted mid-tantrum by a soft "Excuse me, Drill Sergeant, may I speak to you outside for a moment?" The voice belonged to a Marine E-8 who was seated in a back corner. They both walked out in complete silence and the door closed. Then we heard the Marie's half of the conversation, which passed straight through the concrete walls. It was the most glorious, vulgar and oddly specific dressing down I've ever heard. It was sufficiently vicious that DS Sourpuss took a week's leave afterward.

The VA already managed to fumblefuck my buddy's grave entry, who was buried today. I hope his tombstone is accurate, because going through their online grave locator says he was in the Persian Gulf war PS reach out to a buddy if you feel like repainting the walls with your sadbrains

i ran ammo for so long and its so not as painful as people end up making it on range because they're retarded LTs or whatever mostly people wanted to open cans they didn't shoot or whatever because REASONS but if they didnt shoot it it was a WASTE because of the budget but like man if you didn't need to shoot all those bullets then don't shoot them it was so wasteful and retarded

We had M2 barrels glowing trying to burn through all the ammo so we could actually go home. Ranges are the dumbest thing ever.

Hey guys I had a dream about the army last night. I missed movement to go on a cruise and my 1sgt was gonna bust me down but I had something to blackmail him with and got him fired instead. Welp that's my army story thanks for reading.

I loving loved it because it's the next best thing to being back in southern Germany. It brought back a lot of memories bad and good, especially of buddies I lost, but being able to remember the happy times we had.

Hillary Clintons Thong posted:i ran ammo for so long and its so not as painful as people end up making it on range because they're retarded LTs or whatever Reasons involved a lot of goddamn work to put it back in the system because it had been opened. It's like opening something and returning it to the store except Army-fied. Police call is done because a certain weight (wanna say, 95% of all brass, NEEDS to be given back because we recycle that poo poo. Also humping cans of ammo will seem badass all of 30 seconds. Then it sucks.

My old unit left a fully armed and running Stryker completely unattended at NTC If you haven't been following 1/25's escapades at NTC for the last few weeks, you've missed out on some quality army.txt experiences. It's been all over USAWTF Moments on facebook, and is well-worth looking at to remind yourself of what a DD-214 shields you from.

When I was at JRTC some guys in my platoon were "getting out" (aka not extending for deployment until after jrtc so that they didn't have to do anything) and were sitting around bored while everyone else was out doing dumb poo poo. So they found an unlocked humvee and went for a drive, crashed into a ditch and left it there and hoofed it back. The humvee was from another company and they got put on lockdown until someone found it (like five hours later). poo poo ruled and it's too bad I only got to experience the lockdown portion while they searched our area for it. E: also it's a really good idea to not offer to extend for a deployment until after a JRTC rotation. It may save you 25 or whatever days of bullshit.
