TTK thread on the oforums is showing Fantastic Dad and Cpt. Marvel as having roughly double the dps of the rest of the roster, if anyone wants to blow poo poo up on them for a bit.

Not much posted as of yet, to be fair.

e: the lesson here for anyone looking on how to build is that percent damage bonuses are king. I imagine Daredevil and possibly some of the other combo point heroes will post up a good time soon as well.

I think on the TC some pubbie kept popping the level 60 potions forever and in that system it capped out at 200 per attribute in the infinity system. Which would mean that in order to first get there, you would need around at least 30000 infinity points. There is also a very good chance that attributes are 8 bit addresses because that would be the gaziest thing ever.

Are you saying potential stats from infinity are uncapped?

When I was talking about max stat total I should have specified from items/artifacts. I guess +all stats has a lot of value for him. I'll gave to get that Odin enchantment going.

Please keep these in mind when starting to reallocate your gear choices.

The following heroes Offensive Traits will been changed to what is listed below:

Black Panther - Fighting / Intelligence
Cable - Fighting / Energy
Jean Grey - Energy / Intelligence
Juggernaut - Durability / Strength
Kitty - Fighting / Intelligence
Psylocke - Fighting / Intelligence
Rocket - Fighting / Energy
She-Hulk - Durability / Strength
Squirrel Girl - Fighting / Speed
War Machine - Durability / Strength
Winter Soldier - Strength / Fighting

If people were gearing up those heroes, plan accordingly

Yeah, the attribute nodes from the infinity systems are technically uncapped. They just cost 25 points per str/dur/fight/speed/int/energy and with Taskmaster, you are probably spending your points on literally anything else on those pages that aren't pet damage or health. At the current moment if you were maxed out from before, the most you would get from these nodes would be 6 each, and some people probably poop socked their way up to 7 by now.

Ha ha I forgot how stupid the official Forums are.

It's like nobody understands this is a free to play game that needed to poo poo out new content at a breakneck pace, so the last few years have just been half baked idea with half rear end implementation added, and duct taped onto to the game. Till finally, surprise surprise, it was a total loving mess, and the designers had to pull it all apart to start with a new lump of poo poo to start propelling new half baked ideas at as fast as possible.

Ghost Rider going full Damnation, ranged Iceman, and at least one Storm build can do the photonic devastation thing as well

Unrelatedly, but ho-ho-holy poo poo Scarlet Witch is fun. I can pretty much just fly around looking for the biggest clump of enemies, drop a "disintegrate all non-Boss enemies" Chaos Rift on them, then pop my "disintegrate all non-Boss enemies" Signature when I need another full charge of Chaos Energy. I haven't bothered actually doing damage since like Level 50 (just kidding I probably do a poo poo-ton of damage too, I just can't make out the numbers in the middle of all my crimson particle effects). :iia:

I don't understand what the plan is for omega items but they are going to have to be pretty ridiculous to beat some of the uniques. If they don't people are going to be upset they can't get some of the stuff thats out now like Ms Marvels 7/7 slot 2.

After playing through some tanky dudes, She Hulk so far has come out on top in a big way. Her damage leaves a bit to be desired, although my gear is garbage (same for all my heroes).

The gist of it is you no longer have combo points, everything is free, and once you're at full anger final verdict and closing argument lower the cd on your dempsey roll and aoe damage sig which gives you 22.5% dmg buff and dmg reduction for 10 seconds and 40% dmg resistance to you and allies for 5 seconds.

Your sig also summons a random sidekick for 30 seconds on a 2 min cd which is lowered by 12 seconds every time you use bar exam, which itself is lowered by 10 seconds every time you use your sig.

Also, every finisher you use gives you a stacking buff that caps at 20% bonus damage / deflect change / attack & move speed which add to full angers damage / attack & move speed.

All in all she's a bit of fun to just spam sig and beatdown while elbow dropping around and taking no damage.

Oh ya, could I get an invite. Blankenship

They said that they will only have five normal stats on them and that they will be very large. So I would be expecting giant chunks of DR or like 1k ratings. The omega affixes themselves that they revealed are all pretty much hot garbage though, the majority of them were "This bouncing ability bounces 3 more times, DOES NOT STACK".

what would be neat is if some of the affixes give you access to one of your talents, letting you pick another one in the same tier so you can have both :getin:

Of the examples Rawr gave, only Black Cat and War Machine had interesting effects. Black Cat's added Deadpool Caltrops to her stealth roll, while War Machine's added enhanced ammo effects to his laser blade.

I think the most interesting interactions will come if they can implement affixes that rather than simply giving you a talent so you have two from the same tier force you into thinking about changing your existing choice for that tier to another one, especially for those characters who have specific specs that are completely unfeasible without certain talents. Something like an affix for Doom that summons his different Latverian bots whenever you hit with a physical/energy/mental power would mean that you're like, wow, okay to run a summoner I can take this and swap out the bot summon skill and the talent to make it summon all three, but the trade-off is I can't pop them at will as part of a handgun rotation and I have to play the full range of damage types rather than specialising into tech or magic.

Or later, later's fine.
But now would be good.

Dunno if anyone's tried Iron Man since the update yet, but he's fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckin good now (not that he was ever bad).

They actually put some effort into his specializations so that you can make melee IM basically War Machine, you can do a "I sometimes press buttons but stuff just happens anyway whenever" missile build, and a ranged laser build that feels like it's missing a damage layer, but in return is just constant explosions of large numbers and near-infinite Spirit (without even using Arc Reactor Overload).

Also with decent gear you're looking at around 300% base damage boosts (~150 from Spirit from Arc Reactor trait, ~150 from having Strength/Intelligence around the 20s). Hooray.

Only negative so far is that ARO doesn't remove CC anymore (at least, none that I tried it on) because your dash does. So, sure, ok. Maybe wanna take that off the tooltip then guys.

yes I was thinking another simple affix they can create are ones that autocast certain skills on a condition, freeing up a bar slot and just making you more powerful in general with free casts.

an example: 25% chance on hit for Juggernaut to smash his opponent with his Big Headbutt (4s cooldown)

I'd wear an omega item with that even if the stat rolls were definitely worse than a unique in the same slot. Easy to implement, but still useful and somewhat creative.
Granted talent choices are pretty simple as well, considering most talents give exactly the kind of thing a D3 legendary would give and what you would expect Omega items to have to be worth hunting for and using.

What you suggest is great too, but probably requires way more effort from Gaz to make all those build shattering affixes for 50+ heroes, so I doubt we'd see much of that when the patch drops. Maybe over time if the game don't die.

Cable is good, the last time I played him was when his good spec was hybrid, and without changing any gear and copying a spec of the o-forums I sailed through cosmic danger room. He must be great right now with decent/appropriate gear.

Also Dr strange has a decent summon spec if you take his two talents that add the bruiser and mindless one summon. I threw all my +summon damage gear on him for kicks and it works. He probably isn't top tier summon God like others but it functions great in CDR.

Fiery rejuvenation usually keeps me up fairly easily, in a crowd i get like 30-40s duration out of it with a 10s cd. The talent that gives rapid healing to the sig helps a ton too as a bigger oh poo poo button.
