I'll try this later at home, but I wonder if Google's visual translate would work OK for this.

I already tried, the fonts used are a little too stylised I think. I got a little bit of clearly wrong translation of a word when I lined myself up just right but for the most part it cant recognize that it's supposed to be text.

Like half of the signs in this picture are blatantly sex trade-related.

I don't really agree, I feel like the "tone" of the area is pretty evident even if you can't read the signs.

In the last section of the survey where you can put a note I just put "Bring over ISHIN" (a pipe dream).

Been getting the side stories done (well the ones that aren't gated by a certain thing not being unlocked yet), they're great.

You don't they don't show up on the minimap anymore.

I've been using this site to find some of them since I'm a bit OCD about getting them all done.

I assume this is a deliberate throwback to the original Yakuza games, which I recall being similar.

yea even without knowing the signs they nail the atmosphere enough for everyone to know 'this is a scummy part of town' even if they can't read the signs saying "YO YOU GUYS WANNA gently caress A GAL??? COME ON IN"

Maybe, but adding that stuff was a quality of life improvement in a series that hasn't had that many of them.

Taking it out as a throwback or homage to the first game seems like a poor design decision.

In the modern era of Yakuza I thought there wasn't anything like that. You can screw up on some sub missions but you should just accept those failures and learn from them same as street thugs accept and learn from being hit with a baseball bat.

The only missables this game, iirc, are things you can do at certain plot points for a cheevo. For instance, giving the bums some Gold Champagne from Don Quixote or letting a couple of characters hit you in QTE sections.

PlayStation Trophies.org has a good trophy guide for Yakuza Zero that details all the missable trophies (there's 8 in all) for those of you who are completionists.

LEGEND difficulty not having access to the Golden Gun and not having Cheat items to skip Completion tasks on certain gambling games makes me weep.

Thanks for this.

I'm struggling on hard at the first boss. Thinking I should knock it down to normal for this play through to get used to the fighting. Or just load my save and prep better.

Beast Style Kiryu is my go to when I don't need to change up for a fight.

For Majima I only just started playing with him so I just have Thug. I hope his other 2 styles are just more variants of 'dirtbag fighter' though because going for an eye jab into a choke out is pretty great
