Ahem. It's Bullet to the Head. I feel like something good needs to come out of having to work on that campaign and this is good thing #2. Good thing #1 was listening to the calls on mute and hearing the amazing poo poo Sly says irl. "hey oh I'm driving this new Bugatti and it's dogshit but hey yo listen in that poster ya gotta do somethin bout my hair it looks like Madonna's snatch."

kiimo posted:Ahem. It's Bullet to the Head. I want to hear more of this, goddamn. The big Sly story up north (aside from the man being a huge jackoff on Detox who had his people fire crew members who looked directly at him) is the time on Cliffhanger the sound mixer forgot to turn his lav mic off when he went back to his trailer and overheard him say "Cup the balls, stroke the shaft, say my name". No idea if anyone else was in the trailer with him. A grip came to work the next day with "CUP THE BALLS" on a t-shirt and was fired before he could leave crew park.

Lobok posted:Depends on the source/version, no? Yeah there's versions where the sword in the stone is Caliburn and the sword from the Lady in the Lake is Excalibur/Excalibor/Escalibor/etc and then there's versions where both are Excalibur (and at least one version where Arthur is given Excalibur a third time, he just keeps losing that fuckin' sword!) and there's versions where he receives all that plus a third sword called Clarent (a ceremonial sword which is kind've brittle and delicate) and versions where he only gets a sword from a stone and not from the Lady in the Lake and vice versa .... The legends of Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table were often based on/borrowing from/stealing from older legends and myths so there's dozens and dozens of different versions of the stories. MonsieurChoc posted:The Sword in the Stone is Caliburn, not Excalibur, dammit. It's actually not it's called Caliburnus by Monmouth which is the latinized name of Caledfwich and also it's the same sword because this translates in old French to Escalibor. I decided to read a bunch of books on King Arthur over the summer including the original stuff from Monmouth etc.. There's basically two sets of Arthurian Legends. The Vulgate and Post Vulgate . The legends differ. The sword and stone poo poo comes from like one poem I think. Oh Merlin is the Anti-Christ. Hollismason fucked around with this message at 05:19 on Jan 27, 2017 |
