Its probably a deliberate reference to said arenas, I wouldn't read too much into it.

I'm a big fan of Damian calling Dick "Richard" when he's pissed at him. Almost as big a fan as I am of "That's why you're the rebel". Minus infinity to "I'm not Robin" over there.

Tim is currently (presumed) dead Jason was dead for a long rear end time Damien was killed and resurrected a few years back Are they talking about when Dick was (temporarily)dead at the end of the Villains arc a few years ago and then went under cover as Grayson? Or are they referring to one of the dozens of "Robin is dead" covers from the silver age? Ooh, why is there a Batman themed burger chain? Who the hell is profiting off of this? Also, Batman specific theme, but WW behind the counter. CzarChasm fucked around with this message at 05:30 on Feb 2, 2017 |

Pretty sure it's just that because Batman does not have a publicly acknowledged identity it means there's no copyright or trademark infringement meaning pretty much anyone can use his image for whatever.

I'm more interested in what the villains must think. Like, is Joker flattered/amused that a seasoning option is named after him, or are these restaurants basically just painting a giant target on themselves? Does Two-Face insist on a 50% cut of the profits off items based on him? Things like this.

It's clearly a set up by somebody to profit off of what the insurance companies will pay when it inevitably gets wrecked by Kite Man. This was your needless explanation to make a fun thing dark for the week.
|
# ? Feb 2, 2017 06:10 |
I really don't think if Two-Face or Joker were real people that anyone would ever consider making a fast food item inspired by either. That's like serving John Wayne Gacy burgers and Jeffrey Dahmer "Drill Fries". I mean I'm fine with it in the concept of a silly comic book, but once you start asking about the legality of it, the illusion breaks apart.

There was an episode of BTAS where someone made a Joker based Casino/Resort just so the Joker would blow it up and the owner could get insurance money in a Producers esque scheme.

I'm almost certain that's an adaptation of a silver age comic, too, but I could be getting that confused with Joker's Millions.

What happened to Batman Inc? I thought Bruce Wayne had publicly acknowledged that he was bankrolling Batman, from which I extrapolated that he would probably hold the licensing rights? Or am I waaaaaaay behind on Bat-stuff?
