I just watched the first season on Netflix, and are they still so hilariously dumb in the second season? The episode where they went to stop Per Degaton and not only failed to change anything but actually made it worse was ridiculous. Also Jax telling Rip 'Heyyyyyyy, I might have made a time paradox by telling my dad he's about to die, just a heads up FYI'. Did that ever get brought up again? 'Whoops my old man ended up with a traumatic brain injury instead, Welp now I'm not Firestorm because of some PTSD flashback he had put me in a wheelchair' I actually liked the DC Booster Gold series when it was time cop hijinx with Rip Hunter, so I like the idea of the show, but 'Time 'Tards' is a more fitting title.

One of the more subtle changes is how they justify our heroes galloping through history like idiots. In the first season THEY MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT CHANGE THE TIMELINE. This year, their enemies are the ones cocking up the timestream, and the Legends are just trying to lessen the damage. So Sara might reveal freakin' zombies to General Grant during the Civil War, but the alternative was a massive zombie outbreak that would have led to a confederate victory. Its a small change, but it matters so much.

That small change honestly elevated the quality of the show for me, it's the most comic booky of the four shows and it's great! It has a dearth of CW drama so that helps a lot too

I liked how they would say George Lucas constantly as if they got money every time they said his name or something. Of the 3 Arrowverse shows, Legends is currently tops with me, because it's not bogged down in pointless relationship drama.

I'm getting up on The Flash right now, and season 2's quality is really all over the place. Anyway, the Black Lightning script is bouncing around Hollywood at the moment. Snagged a copy and it is... a very mediocre riff on Luke Cage.

He already admitted to Old-Vixen that it's mostly an act he puts on as well. But I can see wanting to be drunk as hell to avoid remembering everything that led to being Chronos.
