I eyeroll as hard at "character concerns" as anybody but when you are getting suspended for too many technicals before the All-Star Break, it might be time for some introspection

What he did was limited but he was way better at it than anyone else in the league. Being the best pick and roll finisher in the league is really valuable and the threat of him as a roll man opened things up for other players too. He also hit his free throws at a high rate, which was really underrated. MourningView fucked around with this message at 07:31 on Feb 7, 2017 |

But drat all the cheap shots and whining and legit silly techs…man it's just old. loving relax, Boogie. Rick fucked around with this message at 08:15 on Feb 7, 2017 |

His usage was also under 15% like every single year in his career except for one and he had a negative OBPM for like 2/3 of his career. He was good in his specific role and in no other way. But Zogo could never factor in his inability to create his own shot or his low usage when talking about his offensive ability. Also he's a career 65% free throw shooter. Not awful but not incredible.

I'll concede Chandler and Gobert were both good offensive players, but they create very little for themselves and in general aren't using a lot of offensive possessions. Being the leader in NP for centers is pretty good though.

I'm in France for 10 days, so quick NBA report. Tony Parker is still everywhere, the dude is still a national hero. I saw one Joachim Noah advert but it looked old. No Rudy Gobert anywhere so far. I'll update as I know more.

Two Tone Shoes posted:Dude you like Austin Rivers what's wrong with Buddy? *shrug* I didn't trust his shot coming into the draft and wish they had drafted Poeltl, instead. His shot has been suspect and what he brings can be easily reproduced by random D-League players. There's still hope that he can improve, but unless he can start to create his own/others' shots, he's a smaller, less accurate Korver.

Yeah, playing the Wizards is very different from playing the trash level D-League Knicks. Washington got something going with Wall/healthy Beal/"I'm finally good" Otto Porter. That game was very fun to watch.

I love how sports writers are straight up manufacturing stories at this point. Like usually at some point there is some microcosm of truth behind stuff. But there is literally 0 chance that Lebron things that Melo is better than Love at this point and that they should trade for Melo. Like, quite literally 0 percent. This is the smartest basketball player in the history of the game.
