Slappy Pappy posted:Chara would look really good at left wing. Plus, I'm sure Oates would have tons of good advice for Rask. "Tukka, stop playing those angles - just sit deep in your net and react, you know like Lundqvist does. Let the puck hit you. It's not that hard." Well he does know a lot about goaltending and that seems to be an issue for the Bruins this year. Clearly a really good fit!

I was doing a little reading/watching on reactions to the Julien firing, and Craig Button basically laid it out really well: The Bruins play the right way but don't have the talent to make it work, and that's not Julien's fault.

Weal is a point per game player in the AHL, so I would only want a call up for him if he was going to be in the lineup If you're calling someone up to be a healthy scratch every game then Boyd Gordon would be fine

I don't understand how anyone with any knowledge about hockey could possibly think he's good. Fire Maurice gently caress

A few things worth noting for commentary: Justin Schultz surpassed his career best points a few games back. Sid is back as #1 in the league. Brent Burns has 10 more goals than the next leading defenseman (holy jesus he's having some season I guess) Also the Calder is looking tight this year between Laine/Matthews/Werenski and Marner though he'll probably get discounted because Matthews is the poo poo.

I guess it's eight skaters with 10+. Rimer is senile. Also, I just saw that slash again and wow. That's a penalty seven days a week. Going the other way, I have to wonder if the league doesn't take a look at the Smith hit on Anderson.

Someone should offer-sheet Gostisbehere this offseason but it'll never happen. For instance, would the Flyers be willing to match a $5M contract for 6 years or would they just take the first and third as compensation?
