Len posted:How do I exploit the baccarat casino for fun and profit? With quick saves. It's a soft-reset too if you go no, no, yes (a, up a, up a IIRC). Once you get 15.5k coins or thereabouts you can fill up an entire 1/3rd of the board and then just save/load if you don't win 55k+. On PS2 you wanted to do a similar method but without the convenience of quick saves you were banking on probability rewarding you over time after you had a big enough pool. Basically, you win at least 55k maybe more from 15.5k and you have about 1/3 odds of winning. Over time you'd expect to come out on top. You can still do this instead of save/load if you want, but it'll take longer actually and isn't any less mindless/easy to do while doing something else, given you're saving in front of the table and loading back in in front of the table versus having to navigate from the church.

What the best machine to gamble with at Baccarat? Also any armor or weapons I must make before I fight the final boss? My party uses spears, swords, staves, and a bow. My final party is going to be Hero, Angelo, Jessica, and Red.

Best spear (before postgame) is hero spear, which you get from rank a in the monster arena. Bow is Odin's Bow, which is Ero's Bow + Cheiron's Bow + Great Bow Sword is liquid metal sword which is Rusty Sword + Slime Crown + Orichalcum Staff doesn't matter to be quite honest, as long as you have one equipped. Staff of Ressurection if you don't have 100 points in staves yet. If you do, then Rune Staff, for free kabuff. Armor is more your preference, whether you want evasion or magic defense more. Look up timbrel of tension if you don't know what it is.

Lmao it wasn't even that. It was Medea and Hero in a carriage after they escape. She fired me and told me to go to Jessica and protect her. I said yes and they sat awkwardly in the carriage for like a good minute before it cuts to Hero dumped on the side of the road. Jessica in her normal outfit is just like "Hey stop sitting on the road" and it smashes to credits.

I just randomly decided to stay at the waterfront abbey while doing the Ascantha quest, and a cutscene with Angelo's background and Trode started playing, it was really good. I didn't have to stay there so I assume it's missable. Any other scenes like that in the game that I have to look out for?

There is a cutscene after you beat Dhoulmagus back in Alexander if you talk to Jessica's mom and stay at the end. There also a long cutscene about Dhoulmagus' background if you visit the fortune teller in the first town later in the game.

Also you can still do the casino sidequest after getting Red and Morrie. I do suggest getting them before doing it, as not only they are very helpful against the dungeon, but you might go up a lot of levels there since that area is where you first see King Metal Slimes.

Red is two dungeons away from where you are at, she automatic due to the plot. You can actually get Morrie now, but you need to beat him at in his arena. He is Rank S, but suggested monsters are listed on this page.

Yay I beat Dragon Quest 8. Not done with it yet, as I am going to do the bonus content to get the true ending, but man the last boss was a jerk. I hate the attack he has where he slams the ground with his fist, as it crits way too often. Also got annoying since he was faster then the Hero at times, which means I have to accelerate a few times to make sure I can get Omni Heal going before he acts.

Both Dhoulmagus and Sir Leopold had the sweet-rear end blue skin with red bird wings design when they got possessed by the staff, yet Rapthorne, the one actually possessing them, is a fat purple genie who exhibits neither of those features. You get a choice still, and the game has a sorta "are you sure?" option there I think. I went with the default ending in my playthrough but had the triggers for the Jessica ending.

So the earliest you can do the Baccarat sidequest is after Dhoulmagus, specifically after getting Jessica back in the party. Was this always the case, because I remember the consult dialogue during that quest references getting back to chasing Dhoulmagus. When I first saw it, I thought I accidentally sequence broke the game.

Capers died in the second fight as it was winding down and in round 3 Talos just flexed everything off and and managed to put the other team down before they could kill him.It was close but I passed first try. They put more in so you can pretty much go ham with it. Sage Stone has been nerfed to poo poo and you get a free one anyway so you can safely cross it off your list. To wit, I was able to make: -1 metal king armor -1 metal king shield -2 liquid metal swords -2 megaton hammers And I still have a couple left over because I can't really think of any other use for them.
