quote:HAWKS IN FOR CROWS MID? Adelaide: quote:ADELAIDE’S midfield depth has been dealt a serious blow as revelations Brad Crouch has suffered another serious hamstring injury. quote:I was down at training and left pretty soon after it finished, while the players signed autographs. Brad was sitting out the front of the cafe, in his civvies. I had a chat to him and asked him if he was ok - said he'd mildly strained the string again and it was the 3rd time this pre-season. Said he couldn't feel it when he ran, but when kicking it was pretty sore. Was going to see a specialist sometime in the near future - he seemed pretty flat about the whole thing. Adelaide:

Just imagine what happens to the Crows midfield if Sloane gets a long term injury.

i like that the crows addressed their midfield weakness during the trade period by trading away a 22yr old midfielder who played 21 games that year

No but you see Brad Crouch will be back to his A grade superstar career best this season and we drafted Galluci and Poholke and growth from within we don't need Gibbs or Rockliff

viney has been named co-captain to join nate jones in the role not sure i agree with that, jones does a fantastic job and while viney is great on the field he can barely string two words together in front of a mic and is still very young. would have much preferred him having at least another year or two under the belt before stepping up
|
# ? Feb 10, 2017 03:54 |
|
Yeah I really don't see the need for it tbh. Viney was obviously going to be the next captain, why not have him as vice captain for a while because Jones has really grown into the role

Melbourne are falling for the "gotta have your best player as captain" problem. Here at St Kilda we just give it to any old rookie!

its a bit of an interesting one, viney very nearly took out the b&f in 2015 despite missing 7 games and then won the 2016 award, so there's not much else he could do from his point of view to state his intent beyond 'be older'. i guess we will see how he goes, but it feels a bit unnecessary when jones is already doing such a great job and has a number of years on viney, its not like it was a 'now or never' moment from a timing point of view.

Erin Phillips? Is gay and has a partner who just had a kid, it was mentioned last week she was playing on almost no sleep. Still. A much larger percentage of players in the aflw will be gay compared to the afl. Maybe the aflw needs a pride round. E: Vvv true drunkill fucked around with this message at 09:56 on Feb 10, 2017 |

Ground was mostly full. I thought Adelaide generally outworked the Dogs throughout the match and also looked for the best avenue to goal where everyone that got inside 50 for the Dogs was super hungry.

Early premiership favourites, right? That one goal from the... I don't know what the areas of the ground are called but it was right next to the behind post anyway it was p. sweet.

those two goals in the last 40 seconds of the second quarter were neato, especially given how hard to come by goals have been so far in the season
