Recently saw them two nights in a row, Joe is a loving monster vocalist still. Original school powerviolence or nothing imo.

How dare you ask a question about a band I've known about an arbitrarily longer amount of time than you have.

I've had original presses of most of New Order's albums, but bit the bullet and picked up the remastered release of Republic, arguably their most maligned record, and my only missing one.

Whoever did the remaster deserves a medal, because boy it sounds fantastic now. The original CD release always sounded dull and lifeless, but it's crystal clear here. You can even almost hear Peter Hook's bass now under all the synth cacophony.

Also my question wasn't so much "What band is this?" as it was "Why the hell does that record cost that much?".

It doesn't cost that much. You can price anything whatever you want on Discogs. I mean...https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/422596390

You never know though - some idiot with more money than sense might buy it.

Discogs themselves actually publishes a list of the most expensive items sold each month:

https://www.discogs.com/user/discogs/lists?header=1

Here is December's list: https://www.discogs.com/lists/Most-expensive-items-sold-in-Discogs-Marketplace-for-December-2016/328433

Of course there is always the possibility that the top sales aren't legit. It could be someone buying a record from themselves in hopes of driving up the demand for an item so they can sell it legitimately later for a lesser price.

It is! This album was issued twice ever, once in 1976 and once in 2015, this is a copy from 2015 because while this was kinda expensive, the 1976 version is uhhh....worse
