He's probably dehydrated or something, con rooms get super loving hot and it's easy to get swept up in stuff and forget to eat and drink something if it's your first rodeo.

Light-headedness and dizziness are the go-to stereotypical symptoms of dehydration, so, yeah, that would check out. Plus I think dehydration can exacerbate pre-existing heart conditions given the right circumstances.
