Satsuko's cleaning event isn't about fashion, I'm pretty sure. It just comes up.

And uh, I think we narrowly avoided a curveball. We'll need to get to Valentines to confirm this.

Alright, we should really get around to that cleaning then.

Monday, December 19

Well, we've seen most of this event already...

: Get some work done.

I wish I had a skip button in game.

: Pfft, work. How boring!

: You don't know how to relax! Anyway, there's something I always look forward to at this time of year... Best thing there is.

: What's that?

: We should have a party.

: Well, that's great! That's what we were just about to talk about. Kiku's Christmas party is coming up. Hold on, I'll find her.

Well, we've seen the rest.

We get invited to Kiku's Christmas party, that'll be later this update.

Aya makes fun of us for having 4 Fashion. At least we haven't hit 0.

Hiroshi congratulates us for doing well on PE. Eh, there's no one to congratulate us that I'd particularly want this run.

Leaving the heavy lifting to Kazuki? Clearly he's the strongest.

Friday, December 23

It's this old conversation about space food. Guess we should pick our new option.

: I don't think they actually cook in space.

: Aww man, are you sure?

: I'm fairly certain Lorde is right. How would that work, anyway? It seems like it would be an amazingly difficult procedure.

: Well, hmm. I guess you can't have a stove up there. There's no gravity. The oil would just float out of the pan, right?

: I think so, yes.

They do cooking in space using some plastic bags and duct tape. Did that come up in the thread or am I just misremembering things?

...Not being sure if it being deja vu or not is rather fitting for this game.

: I...don't think those exist, dear.

: But it's in so many sci fi!

: Oh dear...

That's all that's new to that scene. Nothing more gets added, but I'll still have to see it at least 8 more times...

Sunday, December 25

I'm glad we managed to get here. After this, it's pretty unlikely that'll we be passed over for these parties.

Kiku doesn't drag us along for Uber Fashion, we've already done it.

Dunked Hiroshi again. Can't let down the minions now.

Here's the big difference in the event. We know where the coin is in the prize cake.

: Go for that slice over there.

I don't actually know if you can take the lucky slice for yourself.

: That slice...

That's a real rude option #1. I've never picked it either because I don't like picking on Rena.

: I get a special feeling from it.

Bingo.

: Oh, I see!

Game: Rena takes the slice you picked out and beings to dig into it as soon as it falls onto her plate.

: Oh, the coin!

Game: Rena waves the cake-covered coin around.

: I got it, I got it! Thank you, Goon!

: Sure...

And that's the last change.

Now we had some cleaning to get to.

Kazuki's still hard at work here.

Monday, January 2

: Hello, Goon! I hope everyone had good dreams last night!

This event has enough differences for me to show off the full thing again.

: Same here, I hope everyone had a good dream.

: Oh, it's my favourite tradition in the whole world! I hope no one will ever unravel the mystery of dreams...

: I hope someone will unravel the mystery of your brain.

: Hey, watch it!

: Aya!

: Meanie! So what kind of dream did you have this year, Goon?

: Heehee!

: Aww, you had a bad dream!

: I don't think it was bad...

: Who wants to get a pie in their face?

: Oh! An eggplant! How lucky!

: Yeah, but he hit someone with it.

: Still...

: That's okay! As long as it's not a bad dream, I think you'll be okay. Besides, even if you had a bad dream, it's just a prediction of what COULD come. You have the power to change your life!

: What?

: Well, how would you ever see that coming? And nothing can ever come out of it! It has no end to land it to wait for rescue, or any way to climb out...

: What are you talking about? Bottomless pits don't exist!

: Shh, don't say that!

: Huh?

: I don't know, Rena might be right...

: What? Are you nuts, too?

: SEE? I'm glad you're cautious, Goon!

That scene will change again once we start getting a good dream.

Eh, we'll be fine. It was nearly done before this week and fails stick tick up progress.

Friday, January 6

: And that should take care of that.

: The shop looks so much neater now!

: Yeah, it really does. Nice effort, guys.

: Yeah...it's so much more tidy now.

: Yeah! The shop's sparkling! It's amazing. Thanks so much, Goon!

Now Satsuko can stop complaining... since I've proven I can clean and all.

: Thanks for all the hard work, Goon. We really appreciate it.

: Well, I guess that's it. I have to prepare for next term, so I suppose we call it quits today.

I don't really like events with such strict time limits. Makes me feel like I'll fail if I rest half way through.

We see Rena and Aya talking, We had a new option, I didn't take the new option. I'll show it off next loop, I guess.

It's either a critical success or a critical fail when someone stops by to say hi. I don't think we've seen a critical fail with someone else in the LP yet.

Friday, January 13

: Oh... what brings you here, Suzu?

: I just wanted to check out the greenhouse. What're you doing?

: I come here often to help take care of the plants.

: Why?

: What do you mean, why?

: There's something quite mystical about taking care of another living thing.

I'm just curious about when we joined the horticulture club, honestly.

: There is?

: Yes... he got it right.

: Like... magic?

: Yes.

: That's exactly it.

: So... um...

: ...Wait here a moment.

: What's she doing...?

Game: Kiku hands Suzu a small plant in a pot.

: Take care of this plant, okay?

: Hey, that's a good idea.

: You want me to raise it? How long does it take?

: Two or three months, I think will do it.

I did a quick check with Satsuko on some people. Aya doesn't like us at all, Kazuki and Suzu both like us quite a bit.

If you want to ask about anyone in particular, just ask. I'll throw the next poll up after this semester ends.

I'm pretty sure the biggest deterrent to cooking in space, as Aya thinks, is you don't want an open flame - or any flame - anywhere inside a space ship... not unless you're planning to cook everyone inside it, of course.

Monday, January 16

: I'm fine. I'm just about ready to head back home.

: Wow, you have that CD? I've been looking all over town for it!

: Yeah, it's the limited edition version too.

: It's got an extra exclusive song, right?

: Yeah, that's right. It's a great CD.

: Really? That'd be awesome!

: You have to promise to take care of it though.

: I will, I promise.

: And let's exchange numbers. That way I can call you whenever I want it back and you can bring it to school the next day.

: Yeah, sure, here's my number.

: I have to go now. Take good care of that CD, you hear?

: I will.

We've got Kazuki's number now. Pretty good.

What'd you reckon is on that CD...? Idol pop or death metal are my guesses.

Hm? Good week for us so far.

: Goon, great news!

: What?

: I'm glad there's another smart guy around. Well, I guess there's Hiroshi, but he's really just a dummy when you think about it, hahaha!

: Bye!

Looks like that cleaning event really helped us with the minions.

Thursday, January 19

This is weird.

: Goon, *pant* come here, quickly!

: Is everything okay? You're out of breath...

: Here, why don't you sit down?

: *gasp* ...thanks, I think I'm okay.

: What's the hurry for?

: I suddenly realised something...

: What?

: Oh, you're right...

Two phone numbers in one week. A good week.

: That could have been dangerous... good thing I caught it...

: "Dangerous"...?

: Um...

: ...

Worm dropper...?

: You'd have no idea how to exorcise something like that! It's a very tricky procedure...

: Um... I see...

: Well, I guess it's good to have all bases covered...

: Exactly!

: Heh, thanks.

: Phew, I feel better now!

: Alright, bye.

Game: ...

: Huh?

: I prefer letters and things like that, but a phone call is nice, too!

: Heh, sure...

Friday, January 20

Is this what I think it is?

: Sorry, I hope I didn't bother you... I just wanted to call and say hi.

: Sure, no problem.

: When my family was moving around a lot, I didn't have time to make many good friends, and the friends I did make are hard to contact... But now I have you and Suzu, and you guys are really cool!

: Hehe, thanks.

: I hope we can hang out again soon.

We went from getting his phone number to his first affection call in one week...

Very successful week, all in all.

You know, I don't think I've been calling people enough.

: Oh! Hello... you sound tired, did I wake you up?

: ...Yeah, I guess you did...

: Sorry. Should I hang up so you can go back to bed?

: Are you feeling okay, or were you just tired?

: A little tired, I guess. I've been overworking lately.

: Oh... don't push yourself too hard!

: So why did you call?

: I'm not sure really. I guess I was bored.

: Oh?

: Are you up to anything?

: Ouch. Maybe I need a brain repair.

: Teehee, I don't think I have the tools for that!

: *laughs*

: Heehee, don't worry. I forget things sometimes too.

: Do you really?

:No... I don't actually.

: Ha! You're lying!

: No I'm not! Anyway, I should get to work, I think.

: Alright then, bye.

Sunday, January 22

we sure are getting a lot of calls

: Teehee!

: What's so funny?

: That's because you're such a good friend to me! Nobody makes me happy like you... So, I hope you enjoy your status! It's a real honor, I must say!

I'm not sure what I've done to Rena to make her like us. We only helped her get the coin in the cake last update.

Suzu comes in and confuses poor Goon. He'll figure this out one day.

Oh dear, 1.5 Fashion...

Monday, January 30

: Ugh, stop scratching your arm, Kiku! That's so gross!

: Argh, I cannot help it...

: Hey, what's up?

: Have a seat, Lorde.

: Thanks. Is everything okay? You don't look well.

: I am not sure... I seem to have contracted some kind of weird rash... It is SO itchy!

: Do you want me to take you to the nurse?

: No, that is okay.

: Heh, yeah.

"Heh"?

: Ugh, it's so gross. I can't believe you still have an appetite after seeing that.

: It's not that bad...

: Thank you, Lorde. You know, I think I will call my parents and tell them to make me a doctor's appointment... Maybe I can get some cream for this rash or something...

: That's a good idea.

Meh scene, but I'll take the XP.

Hiroshi sternly rebukes us for not being popular.

Satsuko comes to tell us about Valentine's Day coming up, but it doesn't look like we've got anything coming.

You usually need 2 calls to get a Valentine's and Suzu/Rena have only called us once. I don't think you can get a Valentine from Kazuki/Hiroshi.

I decide to call Rena. Just seeing if we might be able to get a Valentine's. Not very likely but it's worth a shot.

: Hey there, Goon!

: How did you know it was me?

: Oh, I just have a knack for these things.

: Okay...

: Oh! Teehee...

: Huh?

: Only if it's REALLY weird.

: Oh, don't worry. It's weirdy weird.

: Okay, good.

: Well, I was just taking a nap and I had this crazy dream...

: Okay...

: I ate one that looked like a dung beetle, and suddenly I was back in my room, getting ready for my wedding to Kazuki!

: Whoa, how the heck did you have a dream like that?

Kazuki must be the most popular guy in Shira Oka. We've got low popularity and psssh Hiroshi

: Teehee, I don't know. All my dreams are usually that strange. My wedding dress was so pretty, though...

: Man, I wish my dreams were that interesting...

: Aww... well, maybe if you hang around me long enough, they will be!

: Hahaha, great.

: Well, I guess that makes room for new dreams.

: Hmm... I guess that's true. Returning to a dream would be like returning to another life.

: Heh, that's certainly something to think about.

: Hmm...well, I think I'm going to go sketch for a while. Teehee, maybe I'll sketch the wedding dress I was wearing in my dream!

That was sufficiently Rena, I suppose.

We don't get anything for Valentine's but this event isn't really any different.

We just don't get an offer to learn Suave Chat since we already have it.

Game: You run after Kasumi.

: Okay...

Game: Seeing the brief confrontation, Rena and Naoko walk back up to you.

: She must be sad.

: That's no excuse for being rude...

: Yeah...

: Oh, I'm well. What about you?

: Nice!

: It had a letter from them... some money... some items from where they were staying, like chili peppers! I bit into one last night and... Oh my, they were so hot.

: Chili peppers?

: Why don't you make something traditional to the area they are from?

: That sound fantastic, sweetie, thank you.

: What kind of food do they eat there?

: I don't know... I'll have to look it up.

: Well, sounds good, either way.

: Well then, I should figure out what to make from it... Would you be willing to try it if I made it?

I was about to say we haven't had any bad food from Naoko but then I remembered the blue cheese and octopus casserole.

: Oh my... what harm could it do, really?

: Building anything cool?

: Still working on the go-karts, but mostly doing things for customers.

: What kind of stuff usually comes in?

: Heh, that must make you happy.

: You bet. They're definitely my favourite things to work on.

: That's cool.

: Yeah, it's all awesome work.

: You probably have a lot of Suzu's crazy inventions around the shop, too.

: Seems like they malfunction a lot...

: Well, there are always kinks to work out, but it's fun to figure them out.

: Yeah, that's cool.

: Well, I'm pretty tired from working all day, so I'm going to go take a nap. Talk to you later.

: Alright, later.

I hope we chat with Kazuki more. He's a good guy.

Wednesday, March 1

: Hmm? Oh, with the chili peppers, right?

: Oh my, it sure is. I took your suggestion, and I personally think it looks pretty good.

: You haven't tried it yet yourself?

: Sure thing, let's try it.

Be brave, Goon! For the XP!

: Sure thing, let's try it.

: Alright, here, try a bite!

Goon is still weak, I see...

: Mmm...not BAD. But...

: Oh dear... I made it too spicy, didn't I?

: Yeah, that's it.

11 XP now.

Satsuko is sad we forgot about White Day.

We can probably pull something for the next Valentine's.

That's the third set of exams for this loop.

Sunday, March 19

Yep, I remember this already. Took like 3 tries until I managed to succeed at this event. Lot of things can go wrong here.

: I'm so going to do it this year. Just you watch, it's going to be the best doujinshi ever.

: Uh huh...

: What? Don't you believe me? Heh, that's just like you...

: It is not that. It is that you get so rambunctious about things and then they fizzle out near the end.

Today I learned rambunctious is actually a word. My spell check didn't know either.

: Pfft! You just have no faith in me whatsoever. You're just so sure I'm going to fall on my face and that you'll have to bail me out.

: Says you.

: Hey, what are you two talking about?

: I'm working on my master project, Lorde! It's the best idea ever, if I do say so myself.

: You usually do.

: Oh, shush, you.

The screen has been shaking since "Says you." It just stopped.

: Of course.

I don't like Aya, but we can get some prep work or XP for future loops.

: Well, I've been wanting to make a doujinshi based off of Code Helix, one of my favourite manga. Even Kiku likes it!

: Er, I read a little of it...

: Liar, you read it all and loved it!

: ...

: And then I can sell copies at that comic con coming up. Did you hear about it? The school's sponsoring it for the art students.

: Ooh, Aya... that is only a few weekends away.

: Alright, let's check this out.

I can't tell whether we passed or failed the lit check.

: ...Hmm.

I wonder what Kiku thinks.

: Aya...?

: I don't quite like it... though I'm not sure why.

I think we failed the Lit check but we can still tell this is bad.

: How can you not LOVE it?

: Well, there are some problems... if you give me a moment, I will highlight them.

: Of course.

: Do you have any storyboards...? Or thumbs?

: Mm-hmm, here. Take a look.

Game: She shows the two of you some semi-disjointed plans and layouts.

: Ahh... see, the same problems in the script are here, too. They will have to be fixed.

Game: Aya's face contorts and she crumples up the papers.

: Fine... fine, do it your way and fix it... see if I care.

: Aya...

: Whatever. Run over it all you want... it won't really be my project then.

: But you asked us for help.

She's going to be a joy to work, isn't she?

We get test results, I forgot to grab a look at our grade book here, so we'll see it at the end.

Monday, March 27

: Lorde, come here.

: Yes?

: Sounds like a plan.

: Aya!

: Yes?

: Look... I fixed your script.

: How DARE you!

: What...?

: Did you not like it?

: I do, but... it's so different! If you are just going to change it like crazy anyway, why do you even need me?

: There must be a reason why you asked for our help. You would not have asked if you could do this alone, Aya...

: Teehee, that is what I thought.

: So you two still want to help?

: We wouldn't have fixed the scripts if we didn't.

: Alright... in a few days, let's get together. We're going to do this thing right!

: Well, I hope we are, anyhow. Things do not always seem to turn out right with you.

: And what does THAT mean?

Well, that's the next bit of that event chain done.

Spoilers - We're not too hot at art.

We hung out with Suzu in the library while Aya finished some homework. This is a really dull event, it never changes.

Satsuko gives us a little pep talk. Seen it, but thanks.

Here's our grades. We're starting to decline a bit and I think we'll either see that B drop or one of the C's go to D pretty soon. But failing out of the loop isn't a concern.

Right, well, we're at the end of the year now. We've seen how we're going, I think it's time to make the vote on whose ending we want to see.

We have 4 candidates to look at. Let's start with some more obvious ones. We'll be asking Satsuko for how we're doing with them.

code:
"Suzu's feelings for you are growing, Goon. Suzu is becoming a good friend of yours, though.

Unfortunately, you have a rival. Kazuki has been secretly quite taken with Suzu for a while, and your relationship with him might really suffer if you pursue Suzu.

However, if you prove yourself to be a better man for Suzu, he'll probably wish you well. So, decide what you want to do and get working!"
Quite possible. I know the thread liked Suzu a fair from the last run, we have her phone number. We can do this. It's a fun ending.

code:
"Kazuki's feelings for you are developing, Goon. Kazuki has also really warmed up to you, Goon. Normally he's pretty shy and sticks to himself.

Make sure you're working on your technical skills. The better you are at math and science, the more opportunities you'll have to hang out with Kazuki and Suzu at the bike shop.

That kind of extracurricular bonding can do wonders for friendships! Plus, you'll be a real smarty-pants, and everyone loves to be around an intelligent guy, teehee!"
Huh, so it was Science triggering those events? This is probably the closest we'll get to confirmation, with the devs disappearing.

Well, this is doable. Kazuki likes Science/Popularity, we're not great in Popularity. But we have good Science, we're friends with Suzu and I think we're doing okay with Naoko. This is the best ending in the god drat game, but it's a little harder than Suzu's.

code:
"Rena is beginning to fall for you, Goon. You and Rena also have a really good friendship, Goon.

One thing to watch out for is her brother, Hiroshi. While Rena herself is quite forgiving, any mistake with her could incur Hiroshi's wrath, so watch out!

Otherwise, you are doing very well. Be proud!"
I don't understand.

We're Science-Man, we're only passable at Art/Lit. Why does she like us?

Well, she likes us. We've got her number. If we pick this, we'll pivot to a mix of Art/Science/Lit. What else is there...

BOO

This is still an option.
code:
"Aya really isn't romantically interested in you right now, Goon. Aya also values your friendship a lot.

Let's see... why don't you go do something special with her? Maybe take her to one of her favourite places? I'm sure by now you know what places she likes the best, and Aya certainly likes to go out!

Treating her special can help her develop feelings for you, and I think Aya enjoys that attention more than others. See what you can do!"
:barf:

Well...

It's still an option. She's not interested in us, we've already gone for a date and um, her options in events are pretty obvious. Her ending is fine, but...

I don't really want to be a dick to everyone, y'know? I'd also have to suck up to Hiroshi. That's not so bad, Hiroshi is still cool to me.

But insulting Rena would feel like kicking a puppy.

It's an option though. Gotta rip this bandage off at some point.

:siren:Vote here. I'll leave it open for at least 3 days. :siren:

After you complete this route and/or die horribly in some fashion, I would suggest doing Aya, if only to get her out of the way.

Also, this might sound weird, but is anyone else besides me getting any Bloo (from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends) vibes from her? Think about it; in their first appearances, they seem to be alright to hang out with, but the more you see of them, the more they appear to be jerks.

I'm sure she won't win this time, but I wanna see Rena's path. Everyone not named Aya is cool and good in their own ways in this game. Aya is a jerk and uncool tbh.

Neat. Sweet. Petite.

all the more reason to get Aya out of the way, it's amazing she was suppose to be the 'mascot' character when she's such a massive rear end in a top hat. Like Hiroshi's a loving jerk, but he's full of himself and does care about his sister. Aya is just mean for no reason a lot of times (there's better way to write her not tolerating Rena's weirdness where she doesn't end up coming off as a massive bitch, but what we see in game is her being a bully), and with Kiku, etc. - she comes off as a fair-weather friend that blows people off the instant things don't go her way.

DEMAGLIO!
We should do Aya's route because she's awful and after this loop we can ignore her for the rest of eternity.

Just caught up to the thread. This game is that awkward mix of charming and tedious to play so I'm glad to see a good LP come from it. Thanks for slogging through it.

I actually am enjoying all the characters up for vote (except Aya). With that in mind I suggest you do any route except Aya's for as long as possible.

Well, we're going Suzu's route then. I'm not sure which of Aya or Rena I was expecting to be last but I am pleasantly surprised that Kazuki is #2.

Guess I gotta start recording soon.

So, we're aiming towards Suzu's ending now.

This week doesn't go too well. We've already hit rock bottom with Fashion so we're not losing anything there...

Being at 0 Fashion still worries me a lot. The effect of Fashion is a bit fuzzy. Ah well, we'll see how far we get.

Sunday, April 16

: No problem. I'm always happy to help out when I can!

: Thanks again.

: What's going on, you two?

: Oh, Kazuki was looking for example diagrams for certain ancient weaponry.

Here's our new option. We have seen this event before, but I thought it was worth reminding you since it's rather forgettable.

: Good luck with your project!

Good reaction.

: Of course.

: You do?

: I think it's a very interesting endeavour.

: I think it's very interesting.

Annoying Kazuki will hurt our friendship with Suzu. So we'll be focusing on Suzu but we'll still be nice to Kazuki when we get the chance.

Besides, what do we have to gain from being a jerk here?

: Good... I can't wait until I get it done. I don't even know at the moment if it's going to come out the way I planned, but that's part... er, it's part of the fun, right?

: Uncertainty isn't always something to be avoided.

And from here they talk about their break and make fun of Aya. Seen it, let's move on.

After that, we plan a date with Suzu.

We're heading to the theatre next week.

She says yes, there's a point of XP from a first date.

Monday, April 17

: No! Absolutely NOT, Kiku!

: Oh, Aya, you do not need to be so difficult.

: It is our project now, Aya, and we need help.

:I didn't mean to cause problems... please don't fight.

: What's going on?

: I draw too! Twice as good as Rena does, too.

: It isn't a competition...

: Shows what you know!

: Meanie!

: Do not be so rude, Aya... she is just wanting to help.

: And I don't want her help!

: Let Rena help, Aya.

At the end of these loops, I think Goon will need a real stiff drink.

: WHAT? Rena's weird! And I'm just as good!

: I'm not weird! And I never said I'm better...

: I know how to settle this.

Game: Kiku sets out two pads of paper and two pens.

: Eaaasy-peasy! This'll be fun.

: No magic flying dogs, Rena. Normal people dogs.

Aya just denied us a magical flying dog. The fiend!

: Whatever. Let's draw!

: Okay... you have five minutes starting... now.

: Three... two... one... and time! That is it. Let us see.

Game: Both present their drawings.

: Hm... well...

: Rena did better.

It's good that we aren't going Aya's route. We're gonna dunk her from here on.

: I agree.

: What!? How can you like her picture better? It's... it's...

: Grr... well, it's... a good picture, I guess...

: Thank you... yours is nice, too, Aya. I like his wings.

: He doesn't HAVE wings!

: Ooh... well, then the ribbon on his neck?

: ...Ooh.

Good job Rena.

Tuesday, April 18

: Fantastic! Did you bring the plant?

: Sure did.

: Huh? The flowers are all supposed to be white like that one... what happened?

: I thought the white flower was a little boring when I saw it bloom. So...

: I kind of like it.

: But it's so garish!

: No, I think it's pretty.

: I think it's prettier too!

: You ruined a perfectly fine flower...

Harsh.

Wednesday, April 19

: Um, hi, Hiroshi...

: ...What?

: Don't play dumb. Just look at you!

I guess someone finally noticed we're at 0 Fashion. This just marked down as "Fashion need work" on the calender, it's not critical fail or anything.

Friday, April 21

Aya does not look too happy to see Rena here...

: Alright... we should work on this now.

: Yes, let's work.

Oh boy, they're relying on Goon. This is going to go well.

: Yay! I can't wait to start.

: Lorde, what are you doing?

: Oh... did the pen just splatter... again?

We're the Goon who ruined everything, thank you.

: Calm down, Aya...

I could go to the store and buy some... I brought a little money for my special purple ink, anyway.

: No! No, just forget it...

: Rena... you're not doing it right.

: Huh...?

: The main character hair isn't this flat... see? In the art book it looks like this instead.

: I just figured that since he'd been sleeping he'd have a little bit of a problem with fairylocks.

: ...Uh huh...

: Should I do it over?

: Aya? What is it?

: It doesn't matter. She's just going to get all the credit for my idea, anyway.

: Huh? Why?

Uh... The only manga name I can think of the top of my head is Yusuke Murata who is an artist, so she might be on to something.

: Oh, that is not true... what about Akahori Satoru? Even I know about him.

Yeah, this guy is real. I hadn't heard of him, but he's real. This gives us a pretty good idea of what anime the writers liked.

...I recognise some stuff on the list but I haven’t watched any of it.

: Yeah, ONE person. One.

Oh hey, ONE's pretty good too. But he's more of a webcomic guy.

: Aya...

: I shouldn't even bother asking anyone to help. It never seems to work out! And it's all her fault.

: What are you even talking about? You are not making a whole lot of sense.

: It's all my fault...?

Oh man, Rena looks upset...

That... is not diplomatic in the least.

But it is the right thing to say. Good job, Goon!

: What do you mean, "Hush it and get back to work"? I'M the one doing all the work, but nobody's ever going to know!

: Hey, this is hard work! It takes a lot of effort to draw.

: I thought you always said that drawing is easy and that it's relaxing, not that it's hard! Which is it, you liar?

: It's both!

: It CAN'T be both!

: Aya, Rena, please...

: What?

: It's ALL your fault!

: Aya, it is not my fault that you cannot behave decently to people who are only trying to help you.

: Aya, she's right... calm down.

: Oh, so you're going to side with THEM now?

: But you're behaving so irrationally.

: Oh, AM I? I'm not the one who squeezed in on a project and then criticised the brains behind it.

: You INVITED us, Aya!

: Not ALL of you!

:smith:

: Oh... Rena... wait... Aya, you owe her an apology...

: No I don't. I don't even see why I bother.

Game: Aya quickly gathers up her supplies.

: The convention is not that far away, Aya. Even if you can, you do not have the time-

Well, I guess this is over.

We'll be seeing this event chain again. No guarantee we'll be able to finish it. You need good art for this.

Oh well, we've got a date.

Sunday, April 23

...

.....

.........Where is she?

: I'm sorry I'm late. I lost track of the time...

: It's okay.

Suzu actually likes Cartoon so we'll check that out. Aside from that, I'm not too sure.

: What do you think would be a good choice?

: This might sound weird, but...

: Hmm?

: No, that sounds awesome!

: Really?

Game: You enter Cinema Shira Oka with Suzu. You take a moment to find your seats, and spend some time talking before the movie starts.

Game: It is a movie about a friendly monster named Bobert. At first the children are scared of him, but they discover he's friendly. Their parents are still scared, though, and the children have to stand up for their unusual friend. Afterwards, you leave the theater.

: Did you like it?

: Oh, I thought it was great! I wasn't exactly sure what Bobert was, though...

: I think he's supposed to be a monster of sorts...

Probably looked too stupid to be scary.

: They usually do, but the monster in this movie was friendly.

: Oh, okay.

: I was so scared of monsters when I was little.

: Why? They aren't real.

: I don't know, it's just something that little kids always seem to be afraid of.

: That's silly.

: You weren't afraid of monsters?

: Lucky...

Well, saying we were scared of ghosts is probably going to get "ghosts don't exist" even though we've seen them... I'll gamble on everything.

: I was afraid of everything.

: Like what?

: Monsters, ghosts, the Boogeyman, bats, spiders...

: Why were you afraid of all of those things?

: I don't really know. I just was.

: That doesn't seem to be a good reason. Most of those things don't even exist.

: All I know is that it was hard to go to bed because I thought those things were out to get me.

: That's silly.

: Scaredy-cat... I should get going.

That went well. She didn't ditch us half way through.

Tuesday, April 25

: Oh, sorry!

Game: You notice that Rena is carrying a lot of art supplies in her arms.

: Hehe, it's okay. I knew I was carrying too much stuff. Could you help me for a second?

Game: Rena piles some things into your arms before you can answer.

: Er...

: Thanks!

: What's all this stuff for?

: I want everyone to be cheerful. Like when you see flower petals crawling around like they have little feet.

: Sure, sounds like fun.

: Wonderful!

: So what are we making?

: Tada!

Game: Rena shows you a glass jar full of pretty slips of paper and coloured origami stars.

: What is it?

That's actually kind of a neat idea.

: Sure, I'll be there.

: Great, see you then!

: Hey!

: Hello!

: Hey guys, already got started I see?

: There's plenty more.

This is either Lit or Art. Either way, we're mediocre here.

: What's the matter, Goon?

: Yes, you've hardly done any.

: I guess I'm just having a hard time concentrating...

: If you're not going to take it seriously, then Rena and I will do it.

: Sorry...

: Hey guys, what are you working on?

: Alice! Come study with us!

Nothing drives a high school student further than the idea of studying. It's perfect!

: Oh, are you sure? I don't want to interrupt whatever you guys were doing...

: Oh, no, it's fine...

: Yeah, it's fine...

: Good, she's gone...

: That was a close one.

: We can explain when we give her the gift.

: That's true.

: That sounds fine.

: Yup, sounds fine. See you guys then!

Whoops, forget to catch a picture of the end of this event. Well, onto to the next day.

Wednesday, April 26

: Did you bring the jar?

: Of course!

: Hey guys...

: Surprise!!!

Game: Rena hands Alice the gift.

: What?! Is this for me?

: It's a friend jar! Inside are nice thought and nice things about you!

: Well, it was mostly Rena's idea.

: Aww... welll, I just noticed that you seemed a little down lately, so I wanted to cheer you up.

: Thank you so much! No one has ever done something this nice for me...

That's the last point of XP we need for Charmed.

Here's the end of semester 3. Jeez, it feels like it's taken a while to get through a year.

Voila. We've got Charmed now.

That 0 Fashion really hurts though... I can imagine what it looks like...

A garbage bag, a banana peel on your head and socks with sandals...

Well, we're working on our stats next. We'll figure that out when we actually have some XP.

Why is Aya so neverendingly terrible to everyone holy cow. Is her role in this game just to make everyone else seem more likeable and interesting by comparison? Because it's kind of working.

It will never cease to amaze me that the developers really felt that she was "flagship" character material..

It feels like they were going for the token "tsundere" childhood friend and missed the mark by 300% so she's just a terrible person and extremely grating.

I'm super disappointed we're not going with Kazuki this round, but at least Suzu is a neat person and probably better than half the cast, I think! Some of the others seem kind of boring, but then, if any of the other endings are as random and bizarre as Alice's, then we're probably in for a wild ride. :stare:

Robindaybird

Neat. Sweet. Petite.

Very few writers can do Tsundere well - Aya is just the most extreme. Sad thing is, I can kind of get why she's so upset - it does kind of scan as Kiku taking control of her project, and she never did like Rena even if it's for stupid reasons, but she just handled it in an extremely childish and nasty matter that wins no favors.

Add to the fact that this is pretty much how she reacts to pretty much anything that goes against her, except when she's mocking someone. Yeah, I understand that the devs were probably going for some kind of tsundere with Aya but overshot their mark completely.
