R-rated audiences are just not very profitable. On the internet typically the most valuable target audiences per 1000 views are the very old (medicine and alternative medicines) and the very young (toys and games). Kids have a very low resistance to ads and through their often middle-aged parents they have access to massive spending power. Most countries heavily restrict traditional forms of marketing aimed at children for this very reason but legislation has been slow to catch up to the reality of internet ads.
