Is tonight the greatest moment in Dominick Cruz's life?

No.

The greatest moment in my life was realizing that I didn't need a belt to be happy.
it's gotta be gsp vs bisping. they do the yoel vs jacare rematch. anderson fights some other bum (or nick diaz rematch) in the meantime to earn his title shot.

gsp gains little from coming back and fighting anybody but woodley at 170, and even then, not as much as he would have back when johny hendricks was champion. 185 or 155 are the classes gsp needs to consider.

Unless he' s really lost a step (which is possible how long he's been out) he still beats everybody in the division.

Dave Branch, the only 2 weight champ that defends both belts, is now in the UFC. Heck yeah.

UFC is in a weird place where they're letting legit top 10 guys like rory macdonald and kyoji horiguchi walk but are focusing on derrick lewis and belial remember the name muhammad to headline all their cards.

I said it on twitter, but do Bisping vs Romero for the title and GSP vs Jacare for the interim belt on the same card

I support this, because you see what we need is at least TWO titles defended on every card from here out because titles obviously = money and ppv buys as holly holm proved

I don't see him beating Woodley or Thompson at this point. Lawlor would be competitive but I might pick GSP.

I think he would beat Woodley easily. I don't want to see that fight only because it would validate all of Woodley's whining.

Why though? Is it because gsp's probably not the same anymore or because you really think tyron could beat regular gsp?

I think wonderboy gets taken down and destroyed, and Woodley get picked apart from range.

I agree, with Hendricks out of the picture he's far less likely to get an anal cream pie and will find an opponent willing to use protection and maintain his clean image

Did I miss something about GSP going to 185 or is this just speculation? From what I understand he's not one of the bigger WWs and he's even talked about dropping to 155 before, and I'm not sure how well he'd do against some of the monsters like Yoel

155 coincidentally would be a good weight for him to fight Conor

its funny that people think gsp is gonna come back and easily beat the top guys in the division

Maia would be a good comeback fight for him since stylistically GSP should be pretty safe in that fight and it would tell us a lot about how much he's lost from the time off, they would probably want to do something more gimmicky though. Idk about his chances against the top of the division until we see him fight again

To be honest I don't see GSP "easily" taking down Wonderboy at this point. Wonderboy will stay way on the outside and I don't think GSP has anything at all for his striking. It'll either go like the Hendricks fight or the Rory fight.

I don't see GSP taking down Woodley nor hurting him on the feet. I see this going like the GSP v Hendricks fight. Woodley won't respect his jab like he did to Rory and should find an opening to hurt Georges.

As far as how GSP will look coming back, I've been watching this sport for nearly 2 decades and NOBODY comes back close or better than they were in their prime*. Even Jon Jones is going to look a lot worse when we finally see him again.

*People are going to bring up the rare exception like Dom or something who despite beating excellent competition after a layoff, didn't look "better than before" IMO. Time closes every gap, even skill/talent. Like unless GSP has totally revamped his game he is going to be one of the most predictable fighters in the octagon. How much tape is out on him at this point?

He already did imo (took steroids to win a boring decision over OSP who has since lost twice, once to an unranked guy making his UFC debut)

I think he wouldve had a better chance against either of those guys than Frankie but i could see either of them taking him down and grinding out a decision
