As a person who owns guns but does not post in TFR or on any gun forum, I find it simultaneously hilarious and saddening that it's totally cool to be racist as gently caress on gun forums because no one takes issue with it usually, but the second you call someone out your post is deleted by a bunch of mods who would cry "FREE SPEECH" if the same was done to one of their posts.

So basically it's okay to be totally racist and lie but I guess it's not cool to call people out on those things.

I have been part of gun forums before (rarely posted in them other than questions on cleaning and accessories and such), and I can say from experience that a huge majority of the members think they know more about guns than all the other forum members, and are very loud with their opinions on political matters. Some would even like to think they are part of a militia, and some might actually be part of one. And then, some are doomsday preppers and conspiracy theorists who are part of a militia, and there's always at least one dude whose avatar is a Guy Fawkes mask.
