Also Canada has a variety of exemptions in the law to protect journalists, law enforcement, scientists, educators, and others working in the interest of the public good, otherwise the forum/FaceBook/Twitter/Reddit moderator who's job (paid or unpaid) is to find and delete this stuff would be just as guilty as the person who posted it in the first place. The system doesn't even have the resources to go after known shitholes like the chans, why would it waste time on a whistleblower? The law is poo poo and cops are awful, but it's not complete poo poo and they're not completely awful.

I watched TB back when he started covering WoW: Cataclysm, which was the catalsyt for dragging me kicking and screaming back into Blizzard's hands. I always thought his attitude was just a gimmick like Yahtzee, but after that drama where he swore off Blizzard games 4 EVA over... Blizzard making older content a mite bit easier for the 99% of people who aren't world first raiders I just clocked out on him. His attitude through the entire thing was peak TB smugness and was super off putting, finding out he'd been carried through the content he was apparently so vehemently against being nerfed and him jumping on the SC2 commentry bandwagon were just icing on the cake. And tbh, I can live in a world where every video doesn't start with 20mins of jerking off in the options.

Leaving his content and person aside, a lot of TB's videos are offensively long. Yeah sometimes you want to show an hour's worth of gameplay sure, but does a 'talking about videogames thing' video really need to be 45 minutes? When the other, actually good talking mans like Super Bunnyhop or whatever don't even need 10? He should hire a (better) editor.

yea even if you take away his lovely parts in The Drama That Must Not Be Named and his PC Master Race bullshit that you can argue is a bit and all, he's still just a pretentious douchebag who spends an hour whining that the game he's playing doesn't have the Correct Slider Count and taking a view of consumer activism that's 100% based in petty "BUT I WANT IT MORE BETTER" number tallying rather than, say, Sterling's view of 'stop loving us and maybe stop letting them gently caress us, both of us need to do better here'.

Basially I once saw a photoshop of that meme from Harry Potter of Dudley being angry that he only got 47 presents when he got 48 last birthday, and they put a top hat on him and changed 'presents' to 'sliders' and that summed up everything I dislike about TB just as a pure objective reviewer and not even taking personality in.

My experience was similar to SteelMentor. I used to listen to BluePlz pretty regularly, until I started to realize that he didn't know what the hell he was talking about. He was constantly going to bat for awful design choices, misunderstanding the impact of changes, and basically endlessly bitching about any decision that didn't make the game even more narrowly catered to hardcore elitism. Basically after years and years of playing the game he still didn't understand how people actually played the game, and rather than advocating for one gameplay style (a fair enough thing to do in a game as broad as WoW) he'd constantly present hardcore top tier progression raiding as The One True Way To Play and trash on anyone who disagreed. Once, I wanna say this was around Ulduar nerfs, there was a big back and forth where he went on a huge anti-casual rant about old content being nerfed or maybe it was the buy-old-tiers-with-raid-points thing, something that let behind-the-curve players significantly catch up (he went on a lot of these rants, basically any episode in 2010 will have at least one) but anyway a fan responded saying he had ALS and physically can't play competitively enough to do a lot of the stuff pre-nerf, and TB's response was basically "oh, well, uh, sorry to hear that, find a guild to carry you, or wait for next expansion." Basically he and Kripparrian are the team captains for every rear end in a top hat ranting about "filthy casuals" on forums across the internet.

I remember trying to watch one of his list videos and it took 20 full minutes of rambling, repetitive introduction before he even mentioned the first thing on his list.
