Is there an Atelier thread? And also is Atelier Shallie Plus and/or Atelier Sophie worth getting?

Pureauthor posted:Is there an Atelier thread? There was but it died due to disinterest. Atelier Shallie Plus is a kinda mixed port. it fixes some of the issues with the game but is probably the lowest-quality Atelier port in a while in terms of loading times and so-on. If you already finished Ayesha and E&L and want more it's worth picking up but otherwise get those first. Sophie is... like it's strictly a B-/C+ Atelier game. it isn't bad but it's bland as hell. It's the start of a new trilogy and feels like a big step back. The alchemy system is really fun but that's about the only thing it has going for it over any other Atelier game.

The only other thing was they linked the home page of a petition site and said to try and get 50,000 petitions. The entertainment is in the comments at https://www.facebook.com/forgottenmemoriesthegame/ where maybe 10 or so Vita diehards are commenting on every post with a developer response. Even better the twitter account is active right now. https://twitter.com/teampsychose/with_replies E: Shallie is good, Sophie is OK. Thank goodness there's a PC trainer so I don't feel like I have to run from every battle now. Dehry fucked around with this message at 16:53 on Feb 12, 2017 |

I had to run from every battle for most of Sophie because I would perpetually run around at 5 chaos orbs or whatever the gently caress they were called, just so I'd harvest 10 things per drop point.

So out of curiosity of looking at Gust's shop, I noticed that they're doing a Nights of Azure 2. edit: Or selling rather. I wonder how it is.

They're getting the Deception director to do the writing for this one, so at the very least it's gonna hit the right tone of slightly deranged gothic horror. Hopefully the gameplay's tightened up a little from the previous title too.

Ayesha Plus is the most poorly running Atelier game I've played so far with constant frame rate issues even when I'm in empty map. Welp, I'll have to buy the the next Ateliers on PC to save me from the headache. Does Shallie Plus suffer from any issues?

I look at that and just imagine the controllers snapping at the connection point from being sneezed on.
