When did Rosie Winterton become Jeremy Corbyn's most senior aide?

Oh wait, she didn't, the Telegraph's talking bollocks. And she probably wrote and leaked that email herself knowing it could be spun to look like Corbyn was making too many compromises with the Tories.

Striclty I think the Sun is talking bollocks and the Telegraph is reporting that the Sun reported a thing but trying to make it sound respectable.

Didnt Corbyn literally sack Rosie Winterton a few months ago?

Also, given that every other day Neil Coyle is described as a 'senior figure in Labour' as he shits all over his own party, I think it's fair to ignore >75% of what most of the papers say if it's anti-Corbyn.

Why would you try to make the Sun sound respectable?

That's barely a step up from reporting on what Local Lad Jack has to say in the popular Brexit Magazine.

e: I thought Reddit was famous for their weird libertarian fringe, seems strange that they'd like Blair when the press loved ridiculing him for banning squirrels and squirt guns or whatever.

In response, the paper issued a statement saying Mr Blair was "utterly wrong to accuse the Daily Mail newspaper of inaccuracy over the Ronald Fiddler story".

"However, our sister organisation MailOnline, which is an independently edited website, did publish a misleading headline which said that Mr Blair's government was responsible for the £1m payout to Fiddler.

"This ran briefly and has since been removed and corrected. MailOnline apologises for this mistake."

It added: "The fact remains that the actions which led to this payment were all the responsibility of Tony Blair."

You can see what happened by reading the Sun article - Seumas Milne is the 'most senior aide', and the Telegraph changed 'was urged to' to 'urged that'. Yes, you read that right, the Telegraph is outdoing the Sun on dodgy reporting.

Oh that's what they're doing. I was very confused and read it the other way because the Sun is trying really hard to make it sound like Winterton is the aide as well.

Agreed. Also Corbyn won't impose a three line whip on the article 50 vote and labour will definitely get concessions.

I notice in this no-one mentions Corbyn at all until a Labour rep brings him up, despite him apparently being the biggest problem on the doorstep. Instead what comes up repeatedly is the fact that Labour have had control of the area for decades and have done gently caress-all for the people who live there. Shocking.

Over the last decade parachuted-in centrist arseholes like Hunt have turned majorities in the tens of thousands into majorities of a few thousand and yet people are still salivating to pin the blame entirely on Corbyn and cry 'bring back the parachuted-in centrist arseholes'. Like the trend of constantly diminishing votes was suddenly going to reverse itself and wouldn't have led to the loss of the seat even if Corbyn had never existed.

I have to admit I didn't like the canvasser's shtick though. When a voter asks 'What are you going to do for me?' replying with 'What do you want us to do?' and then 'That's exactly what we will do!' just comes off as insincere and patronising. Having said that though it's perfectly obvious from watching that what they say isn't a tenth as important as the fact that they're seen to be out there knocking on doors other candidates won't.

Pissflaps you didn't have some magic genius knowing in advance Corbyn would be poo poo, you just spouted it from day one repeatedly. The rest of us were willing to give the fucker a chance until he did in fact turn out to be poo poo. Personally I think he could still turn it around if he just started loudly shouting socialist things all day every day but i think he tried that ineffectively for about 10 minutes at the start of year and was a bit poo poo at it. So here we are. Bummer.

He isnt a bloody tory he's a great bloke but he should just be shouting the following instead of trying to be nice:

IF ELECTED WE WILL BUILD 1000000 COUNCIL HOUSES AND BRING AND END TO THE LANDLORD CLASS!!!!
WE WILL IMMEDIATELY NATIONALIZE THE ENTIRE RAIL SYSTEM AND USE THE PROFITS TO CUT FAIRS AND INVEST IN INFRASTRUCTURE!!!!!
THE HIGHER RATE OF TAX WILL GO UP TO 75% AND BE SPEND ON HOSPITALS!!!

thats it, job done, 3 soundbites and gently caress em (i can think of a dozen more but you need to keep it simple for the twitterrrss)

If you keep track of Labour at all, and watch Jeremy's speeches, he's pretty drat socialist. Maybe not a Morning Star column socialist, but very, very left of actual center (as opposed to Neo-Liberal Blair center). Hell, the Labour party platform has right of first refusal to buy a company from the owners as a co-op enterprise if they try to move.
