I had the good fortune to be invited to dinner several times by a family friend who immigrated from southern China, earned a degree in culinary arts in some place I can't pronounce and the dishhes he made for dinner were transcendant But his cooking for the restaurant was amazing and unique too Best damned Mongolian beef I've ever had He had a stroke a few tears back and lost everything tho Sold his restaurant and it now sports the usual faire of shiksa posted:heres your fried chicken and sugar sauces, sir Haven't been able to visit him in a long while What depressed him the most wasnt losing his restaurant But the inability to cook for his family anymore
