Milera doesn't look like a wet noodle anymore, which is good, because he's got the skills. Hampton seems ok in the middle as well, albeit in a low pressure game. I like Charlie Cameron on the wing, he's got the tools for it, and it opens a spot in the forward line for someone who's a better goal kicker. I'm desperate for some kind of positive change to our midfield this year, Cameron, Milera, Hampton, even Menzel or one of the new guys if it works.

carlton player is allowed to hold the ball in a tackle for a full five seconds and then throw it out for play on, Melbourne player gets tackled and kicks the ball, carlton get a free 15 metres in front of goal. Getting tired of them using the womens comp for giving poo poo umpires a chance.

Good contest so far at half time. Carlton dominating the inside 50s but still a goal down. First quarter was quiet but a while bunch hof goals kicked in the second. Seems like a pretty good crowd out past the edge of civilization too. Edit: Goes both ways. Heaps of push in the backs and high contact going uncalled. Casey's past the edge of past the edge of civilization tbh. Mifsud is ridiculously good for someone who's been playing one year. Both contested mark and once it hits the ground.

Despite the AFL's insistence of screwing with the rules every year they still consider the 50m penalty for the protected zone to be acceptable. Ridiculous.
