my conscience is pretty clear. i'm going to abandon the democrats to the howling snake pit they've created, but i'll probably join up to participate in my state's lovely closed primary to vote for the most left candidate on the ballot, then leave right after. my state goes blue anyway, so i couldn't give less of a poo poo about voting for them for president in the general, but i'll definitely vote on issues i do care about in the downballot.

Calling your political opponents racist doesn’t work. Trump certainly didn’t give a poo poo, neither did his supporters. Everyone knew what the real problem was: Neo-liberalism is a disease that brought this country to where it is now, and it precisely what enabled Trump to cruise his way into position suited for destroying our institutions. And it’s hilarious that you still think Hillary “Superpredator” Clinton owned all the issues on minorities. Race is too important of an issue to be politically correct about and you are just lashing out at anyone and everyone who says Clinton was a complete loving disaster (she was). Next time don’t be a coward and toxx properly when empty suit Democrat runs in 2020 so you can get banned. stone cold posted:Only in English language only polls, which tend to be extremely flawed. We also don't need any Trump voters, like at all, to win, so I'm not sure how that's relevant. You call them racist because they're racist, dipshit. I love your snide "the real problem is neoliberalism, racism doesn't matter" shift there. I don't think Hillary owned anything about minority issues, I just choose to recognize that minority voters overwhelmingly chose her and want to work to make sure that next time around the progressive candidate is someone they can believe in too. I know that in the aftermath of the election I was an angry pissbaby who made bad arguments, but such is as it goes. Now I only mostly make angry pissbaby arguments. Also I would caution against defeatism. The Democratic Party being conservative and hostile to leftism isn't a new thing and there's no reason to declare permanent defeat because Ellison, an elected Democratic congressman who would've been at least partially beholden to party interests, didn't win. There are more battles to fight and more party positions to win, this is just the tip of the spear. The real story here isn't that Ellison lost, it's that it was a fight in the first place.
