That's actually worse than I though, and also rather strange because it makes the show seem like some sort of tongue in cheek criticism of militeristic societies what with the whole paranoid ad hoc coup plotting by people who think there's gotta be a coup somewhere and damnit we can't have a coup plotting gap!

It's almost certainly just because they look cool. ACCA is a diverse, multicultural, peaceful civilian bureaucracy - or maybe they're not technically civilians, but they certainly aren't a combat force. They're a cake force.

BUT LIKE I WAS TRYING TO SAY: Yes I saw warning signs and some other people saw them too and some other people didn't but that's ok and ultimately irrelevant; I took a chance and watched anyways and am here happy to report that all such warning signs are in actuality false alarms.

hi thread - here is my mid-season thoughts/ranking on what i'm watching Youjo Senki - this tale of World War X (but with magic) is much better than last season's offering. tied with Kobayashi's Maid Dragon - OMG how is this so good? ACCA - pretty good at the slow burn, has been worth sticking with. Onihei - good period piece - the OP reminds me a lot of the OP to Cowboy Bebop. tied with Little Witch Academia - Sorry Trigger, you might have ranked higher but dragons exist. Akiba's Trip - dropped after 2 episodes

other places i've seen it just reported as "the project will continue" which implies he was speaking more about it being a multimedia push (which was the initial goal). so i'm mostly expecting manga and stage plays etc, rather than a second season.
