Body horror and nudity as fragility in the grotesque is only cool when Giger or Cronengberg do it, guys!! Don't want it on my table?!

Seriously though, all the pearl-clutching from goatse central is a little much. Does nudity have to have nuance in a game? Does horror have to be tasteful? And if so, how much? What level? Most of the actual nudity is contained to the rulebook depicting starting survivors, and is where most of the edge-lordiness comes in. Optional creatures like the tentacle demon are about 5% of the entire game, from what I've experienced so far, which has mostly been slaughtering/being slaughtered by monster lions and dudes that love lanterns a bit too much. You can get about the same eyeful on a casual scroll through of xvideos -> anime. If you already own Warhams elves, this poo poo is like one step higher in lasciviousness. Like someone else said, the style is pretty much a Heavy Metal cover. While I don't like most of the 2d art, the vast majority of the minis are unique as hell, and I appreciate the commitment to the weird theme of hands/lanterns/masks everywhere. The RNG-fuckyouness of the game is either lovely/amusing on how you like to play your games (to completion of a win condition or as a way to kill an evening regardless of outcome), and probably the biggest detriment to the game. Just heard about the game and super bummed that I've missed out on everything. They have the 'request late pledge' option on the KS. You'd likely be jumping into a not great tier, but it's your best option. Poots did say he didn't support selling pledges. Meanwhile I keep being tempted to add additional stuff. Frogdog, Nightmare Ram, Black knight etc. Then I see I've already managed to look at spending $740. Holy poo poo.

Guys. Guysss. I was at a gallery showing of prints from the Tale of Genji and other Japanese works, and guess what... there was nudity some of them! And dicks. And giant dicks and balls. And all I could think to myself was 'How can I enjoy this, much less look at it when considering all the creepy fetishistic ideas of the artist?' I brought this up with the staff but they just kind of blandly looked through me as I writhed on the floor, demanding they acknowledge my meltdown.

Uh, the point being that an artist's interpretation of a work is subject to the same critiques of 'fetishism' when they came up with the depiction, and it didn't exist in a vacuum the hundred or so years ago when it was made. Right alongside all the ukiyo-e cheesecake pornographic pinups that were made of it or shown alongside it. Kind of like the tail of history that would lead to anime tittay and how that would inspire some weird guy named Poots to put it in his game? Now I think that you're being deliberately obtuse. E: did you see the new Alien movie trailer? It has prehensile tail rape in it! How are audiences supposed to enjoy watching something like that when all they can think of is Ridley Scott's weird fetishes as he cinematically tips his fedora? None of you actually countered with more than 'b-b-b-but titties.' The actual mechanics of the game have been discussed at length already. Choose your own adventure with an element of RNG gently caress-you. Disclaimer: I haven't spent a single cent on either kickstarter. I think most minis are a waste of space and resources. Some of these are just more interesting. The phoenix is a pretty great piece of sculpture. If anyone wants to point to anywhere in the base set of either campaign that has anything more than body horror elements in the minis, feel free. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/poots/kingdom-death-monster https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/poots/kingdom-death-monster-15 All I see are optional cheesecake chicks (and dudes), half of which wouldn't be out of place in cosplay, and one optional dick monster. Reminder that people everywhere have had literal facerape and metaphorical razordick monsters on their desks for decades.

Most of the expansions and lots of the non pin-up figures have breasts out models experiencing varying levels of sexual menace, and lots of dick flopping monsters. The core rulebook is basically pornographic. The game is mechanically bad and full of problematic pornography. Why are you defending like it's something normal people would ever want to engage with at an LGS?
