Shimrra Jamaane posted:So is questing in this game along the same lines as in the single player games? Is it any good? Yeah basically. Each faction has five zones you quest through. Combined they are about the size of Skyrim, albeit a Skyrim split into 5 parts. The Hold city equivalents are a little less lived in, but to make up for it the rando Dragon Bridge style towns are usually much bigger. Unlike traditional TES where you get all the quests in the towns and the guilds are town specific, in TES most of the questgivers are hanging out in the wilderness near their quest. Same type of quests, same feeling of gameplay, just they don't hang out in the towns. There are guilds in every major town and their quests are tied to your level, not the region. Basically they start around the midpoint of the singleplayer guilds, when you stop having to kill 5 rats and start getting into the actual meat of the questline with the last questgivers. It's still TES. It's better TES then Oblivion, and most of us would say it's better then or at least on par with Skyrim. Just a little different, but once you get past the shock it's great. Just a warning, they revamped 90% of the content in the game, but they only barely retouched the introduction islands. So if you do choose to do them, realize they are still pretty simple/quick/not very indicative of the final game. The loop is still there, they are just considerably smaller then the actual faction zones and the dungeons/quests in them are extremely short. Once you get to the mainland the dungeons start getting more TES sized and the quests start getting a bit more interesting.

I would agree with that: it is a very strong Elder Scrolls title and I like it more than Oblivion. If you are a fan of the setting/lore, you can't go wrong with this game.

I really like the look of the Daedric Summoning tree for Sorc, how do I build a character to use it for maximum good times?

I'm rying to give this game a whirl after a year-ish of being away. Is there currently an active EU goon guild? I'm currently the guild leader of House Awful, which was the goon guild back then, do anyone want to babysit it?

I've been playing this game for about a year now, and it just struck me to check out the thread. I would love to play with goons, since I'm usually out here alone and I would like to experience more of the group content; veteran dungeons, trials, Craglorn etc etc. @After_man I'm on NA server

So I have completed Stonefalls minus 1 or 2 quests ( did the major story quest ) and honestly i think im in love with this game. My Lizard Wizard Templar is super fun to play. I can blast the poo poo out of mooks with blasts of pure sunshine and elemental staff blasts, and then switch to healing random people around me and it feels so fluid and natural. Why the gently caress cant more MMO combat be like this? Why cant TES game combat be more like this? Also the lore is chunky and lovely. Ive found myself getting backstabbed cause im too busy reading a bookshelf. Top Notch game. So Question if i get the gold copy of ESO from green man gaming is it compatible with my plain jane imperial edition on steam?

I got my key from https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/1554-buy-key-the-elder-scrolls-online-gold-edition/ and I had a Steam key purchased before it went buy2play and a retail collector's edition key with the pre-order bonus explorer DLC pack.

Oh man, last night was some of the most entertaining PvP I've had in a loooooong time. Managed to bust the streamer zerg twice before we got zerged down ourselves. Anyway, after talking a few people in-guild, we've decided to open up a progression group to tackle veteran trials, for titles, achievements, and skins. Still hammering out the details, and we'll post up basic entry requirements into that core group. E: This group will be completely different from the motif fun-runs that people organize, and will probably be stricter (because none of us want to spend a night trying to wrangle idiots in a vet trial), so keep that in mind. 1) I just realized I have the basic game in my steam account - can I log in through my elder scrolls steam account and/or link my accounts together? One is the basic "unlimited" game and I picked up the gold edition on GMG last weekend. Oops. 2) is there a goon guild for Team Redguard?

I picked this up a few days ago and am enjoying it so far. The first few hours were pretty boring and I was about to chalk this up to $25 wasted, but then it got better. I'm @graptolite if anyone could throw me an invite. I'm trying to figure out pvp right now because I want to check out the Imperial City but I haven't managed to make it that far yet. I thought I chose Ebonheart at the beginning but I'm actually in Daggerfall because I didn't understand the race restriction.

God help me I'm enjoying PvP. They should leave this double AP going longer so I can bank some for gamble bags for alts. Speaking of alts, if I wanted to do something dumb like a melee DoT making GBS threads rear end in a top hat would my best bet be NB? Is that even a thing I could reasonably do? Not entirely concerned whether or not it's good I just like the DoT management minigame.

A friend of mine has been trying to convince me to play this, but I've been biased against it due to the Beta where the most interesting thing people could find to do was make a naked man pyramid in the starter town. Also the streams I looked at showed the PvP was basically all spamming ranged AoEs and melee was unplayable trash. Is that still the case or could I make a guy who goes around with 2h melee weapons barbarianing the poo poo out of people?

Can you switch between the three trees of a given class or do you specialize in just one per character? DK honestly sounds pretty cool from the OP, and spitting hot fire while hooking people with spears and leaping around smashing them with 2hs sounds cool.

Progression Crew Stuff Incoming Ok so Dori and I hammered out the details for Progression Crew this morning while I was in a lull at work. While most of these are set in stone, Progression Crew leaders can be flexible depending on circumstances. The following may seem like a lot of "serious business" but we're putting these guidelines/rules in place to prevent unnecessary drama/stupidity within the group, and to make sure we all have a good time when crawling our way through these veteran trials. We also want to have a group ready by the time Morrowind releases, so that we can complete Halls of Fabrication and have that notch on our belt (so, I guess consider that a soft requirement, to also have Morrowind purchased). At the end of the day, this is about having fun, and getting cheevos and skins. If we can't complete something during a planned night, we're not going to get mad. We're going to chalk that as a loss, note our mistakes, and make sure we improve from those mistakes for the next time. And speaking of leadership, Progression Crew will be led by:
General Requirements:
Anyone who has either Stormproof/Flawless Conqueror or Mageslayer/Shehai Shatterer/Ophidian Overlord/Dro-m'athra Destroyer will immediately be granted entry into Progression Crew regardless of whether they meet the other requirements. This probably won't apply to many people, considering that we have maybe 3-4 Stormproof goons, 1 Flawless Conqueror, and maybe 1-2 goons with the Veteran Hard Mode Trial titles. Role Requirements:
Currently we are seeking DPS and Healers, so if you're interested, find us ingame and we'll get the ball rolling to get you into Progression Crew.

You will max all 3 main trees (mostly, other than poo poo skills), really what you are "bound" by is stamina or magicka builds, because you'll be dumping all your CP points into things that will make stamina/magicka skills cost less and/or do more damage, also your stat points iwll be dumped into that. You can respect everything in the game, for a price, the only thing you CANNOT change is the faction you picked.
