I kept trying to say that this is why Beshear was picked to give the response. Successful governor of a red state where Obamacare did really well. Also, he sounded like the Hyperchicken from Futurama. Staging for those goddamn things is always bad. Whether it's Mr. Jindal's Neighborhood, Rubio and the water bottle, Charles Boustany looking like he was recently stuffed, or this, I've never seen a response that was inspiring or good. They are career-killers. Better to use someone who doesn't have any stake in the Democratic Party's future to deliver it without incident and without any verbal gaffes people will remember.

Didn't "Bernie's health care plan in VT", actually written by someone else because Bernie is of course a federal lawmaker rather than a state one, only fail because the federal government (Obama's administration) needed to give it funding? And wouldn't a plan like that need to be operating on a larger scale anyway because Vermont doesn't have enough rich people to eat?
