Aren't those things SC300 basically a rebodied supra or am I thinking of another model? We had an instructor with one that used to drive the piss out of it at the track. Hell of a car for $6200

Not exactly but sort of? They share suspensions and engines, specifically the SC300 shares the exact same engine as the NA Supra. The turbo Supra is the same engine as well but has some stuff with the pistons and head plus those twin turbos. Probably some other stuff too but that's all my surface searches pulled up. I know I was in here earlier bitching about how I couldn't find a stock Samurai but you can't even find a manual transmission SC300 at all, according to Wikipedia there were only 3883 made ever. If you do find one it's going to be so hosed with and has been passed around. Very confident that if/when I do decide to sell it back I can easily sell it for much more than I paid for it, especially because I'll detail the drat thing before I do.

The sun visor broke when I flipped it down on the tag drive me the entire car rattled like a spray can even at idle. Eight months later the same car was still sitting unsold and there were numerous incentives to try and trick people into buying one.

The non-turbo 2JZ motor has a distributor, if you can believe that.

Raluek posted:Indeed. Looks good low, too. Thanks! I think it does to, but that was just too much. At least static. Obviously, I'm a pussy (#staticlife #lowered) The general shape is the same as other A-bodies of the era. The Olds fastback was "more" fastback than others. The rear window is huge, and angled more horizontal than the Chevelle, Skylark, and LeMans. I think the LeMans also had pointy rear side windows. It is very definitely a 1970.It's also specifically a "Sport Coupe", A.K.A. a 2-door "post" coupe, with the framed door windows and vent windows. The hardtop Cutlass was a "Holiday Coupe". As far as I've seen, Olds was the only marque that continued the post coupe past '69, aside from the El Camino. Normally, the post coupes were base model F-85s, but could be had (obviously) in the regular Cutlass, and all the way up to the 442 W-30. According to what I've seen, they are rare(r). Mine is one of 3500 1970 Sport Coupes. That, and the fact that I like it as a post coupe is why I don't just move all the running gear and such over to the '71 Holiday shell I have. Instead, I will be cutting the quarter off of the '71 and welding t to my '70. Someday. VideoTapir posted:Smooth out the bumps and wrap it. You'd have almost the same level of peace of mind. Definitely thinking about that as well. I have a gallon of "Hot Rod" satin black I need to find time to spray on it. Needs silver or white 442 stripes, too. I have a limited slip carrier that needs to be derusted, and buy gears for it, though I will need to swap the rearend as well. Mine is the Olds 12-bolt cover 8.5", and the carrier is for the Olds 10-bolt, also 8.5", but different enough that bits don't swap. Olds rearends don't use c-clips, so there's that, at least. quote:Edit: Parked on Slaughter Ln, nice Don't dox me. Huh. '80s Toyota Corollas had a 4 x 110mm bolt pattern? I thought that was an almost unique to Mazda thing. I really like those wheels, but they only come in 13". Good titres are tough to find. Maybe I should have a set machined to 3-piece and make me some 15 x 8s. Still stuck with the bolt pattern and the leeetle brakes that go with it. Q_res posted:https://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/6015144436.html I have a 3-'n'-1 model kit that can be built exactly like that. edit: apologies for lack of content. I haven't run across anything amazing or amazingly bad on CL lately. Not really looking much, TBH.

Wasnt sure if this was worth posting in the awesome AI thread, but these are all for sale/sold and theyre mostly rare cars for the US market so I thought I'd post them here. Living near the US/Canada border I often see cars from Toronto and the like on my craigslist, so I sometimes see a lot of neat cars that we don't often get. 88 Renault Alpine http://www.rightdriveusa.com/vehicle/1988-renault-alpine-gta/ Or how about a nice RWD V8 Nissan with 250hp? http://www.rightdrive.ca/vehicle/1994-nissan-cima/ Or an R33 Skyline for 9k. http://www.rightdrive.ca/vehicle/1997-nissan-skyline-r33/ Or an 1991 Mazda Eunos Cosmo which Ive never heard of but holy cow that butt. http://www.rightdrive.ca/vehicle/mazda-eunos-cosmo-1882/
