I hate when I try to melee someone and it just thunks and doesn't do the death animation, then I get shot to death because of course it doesn't switch back to the gun.

pickaxe + gas mask for the full slasher effect. clubs are also fun to use just for the back takedown where you conk some poor fucker on the head

Did a quickmatch on conquest tonight and ended up in a private unranked server. And also received the most savage trouncing I've ever experienced (was something like 238-1000). The other team were absolutely phenomenal. Our airship behemoth was down in like a minute. Thought at first there were issues as everyone was rank 0, but only realised I was in a private server at the end. Surely that's not meant to happen though ?

Guys I am rank 22 and still have never played in a party. I'm actually starting a week vacation and want to have fun with this game. I'm just still struggling to get a hang of not dying. I'd love some invites or new bros to play with. My xbone tag is meatbishop.

Same with bombers, you don't take them down in one or two passes. You hit them from afar and wear them down. Your guns are far more accurate from far away than the tail gunner is, so just fly slow an keep your distance. If you start catching up, spot them so they stay on your minimap, do a roll toward the ground and then point yourself back at them again. It can get a little tricky as the attack plan has a much lower stall speed than the fighter.

Want to throw in a recommendation for a phenomenal YouTube channel I just became aware of. Dude name of Flakfire. The vids are basically a mix of gameplay and historical footage, average at 5-6 minutes long, and are a fantastic bite-sized history lesson that complement the game incredbily well by enriching it with knowledge bombs. Scout remains my best class, mostly cause I love the sweet wallhacks. Being able to get the advantage over assaults in close quarters by using flares never gets old.

Flare kills and the SMLE are my two favorite things about scout. And if you're playing with a fellow goon or friend, having them play support for UNLIMITED FLARES.
