Do the Neo Geo games let you get into the settings menus to adjust things, or at least come with sensible defaults? I'm specifically wondering about this little option here: In a lot of games it's just a blood/sweat palette swap, but in Shock Troopers boy does it really kick things up a notch!

Someone asked about this awhile ago but SanDisk has done a short little video demonstrating the load time differences on booting up a game on Switch cart vs two of their own branded microSDs. https://twitter.com/SanDiskJP/status/837526192609603584 The difference in loading seems entirely negligible.

Status update: store manager just came out, they've got 12 consoles in stock (4 neon, 8 grey), and 4 or 5 BotW special editions. We're going to get tickets in an hour and a half.

 Guys, I'm so excited. Picked it up today at Argos (they had 4 in stock and weren't even the big Argos) for 279.99, then drove straight to Toys R Us to get BotW for 49.99 instead of 59.99. Feel bad for all you chumps who preordered and are still waiting on delivery. One thing that worries me is how loose and wobbly the Switch is when it's docked. I became a heart surgeon when I gently and steadily inserted the game cartridge in, the Switch still wobbled like hell. I'm pretty sure poo poo's gonna get scratched.

It's just as well that the Pro controller feels fairly decent (not as good as a PS4 or Xbox controller though) because the joycons feel like total poo poo. They're way too small, and the sticks and buttons on them suck. The joycon controller grip that lets you combine both into a single controller shape doesn't improve anything either. They do feel slightly improved once connected to the switch itself though. Basically: get a pro controller.

Just a quick heads up to anyone thinking about Bomberman R: the game apparently has a weird input lag. The Japanese have had the game for about 9 hours now and have begun discovering that some people have an inexplicable input lag in Bomberman in all play modes, and the reviews for the game on Amazon Japan are starting to fill up with complaints about it. Konami has since come out to suggest that if you experience any input lag then you should try playing the game in sideways JoyCon mode, but even then people have experienced problems. So my sister was due to have a baby last Sunday. So as the week wore on and still no baby I began joking that my bundle of joy was going to be delivered before her's. Last night I texted her my shipping info and said looks like I'm gonna win this or something really dumb like that. So of course her water breaks at 3am this morning which means after work instead of setting up my Switch at home, I'll be going to the hospital. That's what I get for talking poo poo. But then after I thought of that I remembered that I could just play my Switch in handheld mode at the hospital.

You can earn gold My Nintendo coins from a pop-up menu on the switch for your physical cards, though at a reduced rate compared to digital. Holy poo poo snipperclips is downloading!!!!

I set Bombermans online settings to global and my God the Japanese are good at Bomberman they play it like Tetris. Online is a sleeper hit guys, you can play as the bosses after you beat them in story mode and there's like 30 more maps to unlock which all play with gravity and ramps and layers. Do not underestimate bomberman. It is fun as fun and ranked mode is like playing Tetris attack With 8 people With bombs

Though I've seen it in videos plenty by now I couldn't help but feel this sense of wonder at putting on and taking off the joycons for the first time. The Switch feels comfortable and it avoids feeling flimsy or cheap. I love this thing already.

My Switch and games were loaded into the UPS truck at their distribution center 2.5 miles away from me at 1AM this morning. My bet is that the driver will hurl my packages at the general direction of my front door from their truck without slowing at approximately 7:48PM this evening. At least the loud THUNK of the Switch against the side of my house will let me know it's arrived.

I count 20 maps to unlock, cosmetics items and characters by the boatload. And ranked which is already full of God blessed tacticians Oh and it's the only online Switch game atm that let's you take mates online with you because FAST HAS NO LOBBIES FAST HAS NO LOBBIES AND JOINING YOUR FRIENDS IS ACTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE IT JUST PUTS YOU IN A RACE IN PROGRESS AS THE ONLY OPTION WITH NO CHOICE THE ONLY GAME WITH GOOD ONLINE AND LOBBIES FOR GOON ROOMS IS BOMBERMAN.

There was a snafu with my best buy order but I had no problem rolling into Walmart when they opened at 6 this morning to grab a console. They had more neon consoles than grey and I bought the second of two pro controllers. Would recommend any homies looking for a switch to go to Walmarts that have recently switched to a 6-midnight schedule due to repeated stabbings after midnight.

My Switch+BotW is due to arrive 2-4 hours from now according to the tracking system. Pro controller is waiting for me at another store but I'm afraid to go and get it in case the delivery van shows early. Having a hard time focusing on my last bit of work that I need to do today.

I got my switch last night and knew I couldn't play because I had to sleep so for the first time in my life I was able to will myself to sleep despite being excited Set up my account and downloaded updates for switch and zelda this morning and I cannot wait for quitting time to be a useless piece of poo poo all weekend long

Couple questions for Switch owning goons: 1. How easy is it to swap SD cards for the Switch before you even start it up? Do you just pop out the old one and put in the new one or are there some files you gotta put onto the new one first? 2. Does Zelda have dual audio?

My neighbour who is always home and has taken packages in for me that I didn't want her to has decided today to be out so my switch won't be waiting for me at home tonight, instead I'll have to go and collect it tomorrow. Now I'm going to have to spend time with my SO instead of convincing her that me playing Zelda is us spending time together.
