Fun fact I found out. Chika's VA, Anju, wore a glove during the Cyaron part of the live.  But that's not in the actual Cyaron outfit.  It's this glove.

I haven't played SIF in over a year, and it stopped working on my old Nexus 10 and for some reason I forgot I could port my game over with my Google ID and anyway, so I put it on my phone and logged in to play a bit. And I promptly ranked up after doing a few songs and it got stuck in some sort of rank-up loop. Went up like a couple dozen levels and ended up with a couple thousand LP. Did something glitch on me or was there some sort of exp/lvl recalculation in the time I was away?

There was a patch that recalculated exp a while back, so all the old players jumped up like 10 levels

Luckily, outside of the current challenge event format, you can perform one song batches at a time, up to 4x (so 100LP worth of xp/etc on a 25LP song). You can do a hold and also an unrelated slide with the same finger if you really wanted to. There's no reason at all to do it, but you can. Just don't forget to release the hold too.

I'm home from Dallas! I had a terrible night's sleep last night, and ended up behind the wheel for a total of almost 8 hours there and back (with a detour to give a ride to a carless internet acquaintance), but the Live screening was awesome, and way more fun than I anticipated as someone previously into almost exclusively the 2D aspect of LL. The theater was packed, and the crowd was great; about a third had brought glowsticks and stood for all the songs waving them around and such, and another third only had the lovely disposable glowsticks but were game to stand and wave them around anyway. I started off in the unmentioned third, due to being tired and sober, but the enthusiasm of the guy next to me and the sheer hype of Strawberry Trapper took me into the middle third, and I had way more fun after that. If/when I go to another, I'm going to make sure to get some proper glowsticks and bring a hip flask. And some sort of Aqours shirt. The enthusiastic guy next to me that I mentioned was a Japanese guy totally kitted out in Aqours gear, with three glowsticks (one from the Final Live, one from this, and one from idk), who knew all the chants and waving patterns, and helpfully translated random bits for me. He was great. He'd do all the tsukkomi lines with Riko or whoever at almost exactly the right time in exactly the right tone. I want to be friends with him. It was day 1, as expected, and it wasn't subtitled, which I think recall the website mentioning was going to be a thing. Dunno what happened there, but I managed to understand the bulk of it, especially having previously viewed Dan's skit TLs, which were the biggest concentration of difficult jp. Zep's writeup last week mostly captures my thoughts, so I'll leave it at that except to say Strawberry Trapper was LIT AS gently caress. Pretty much the whole theater was on their feet for that, almost involuntarily.
