If goons-at-large were a person their favorite sandwich would probably be the one that is most-technically-and-barely a sandwich. I don't know what that is but let's not talk about it.

Furnaceface posted:Banh mi are great, a good choice. banh mi don't count as a single sandwich more an entire class of sandwich best banh mi is meatball, but an average cold cut and pate is probably better than the average meatball, if that makes sense. I had a banh mi with New Jersey pork roll the other day, and it was an interesting variant.

Mustached Demon posted:What's your favorite sandwich? fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, oil & white balsamic, warm crunchy roll, sometimes with some prosciutto but that's not strictly necessary when I lived in NJ there was a local deli where a guy made buffalo mozzarella daily, I miss that so much he had burned out all the feeling in his fingertips and couldn't play the piano anymore, but it is god's will that sacrifices must be made for cheese such as that

Ghost of Reagan Past posted:banh mi don't count as a single sandwich I live in basically a big rural city so Im just finally getting to experience food from other cultures as the city finally starts to become less hick and more welcoming of minorities. We just got a Vietnamese restaurant like a year ago so pho and banh mi have been basically the greatest thing to happen here food wise. You can only tolerate so many burger joints and fake Chinese food places.

The place near where I work makes a delicious pork shoulder banh mi and a skirt steak banh mi. I've tried a few others and they were good, too, but I kind of settled on those two.
